Happened once. The year before he played well enough to earn a 15 million pound move, the year after (this season) he has probably been Juve's best player and according to Gazza, is in the Serie A team of the year.

I think he'd be a risky signing but he's definitely not a bad player.

Problem with that though is, as you say if Gibbs breaks down, we end up with our best CB at left back. Maybe the best solution is to get Clichy to sign that contract, but give Gibbs much more gametime so that he at least has the chance to accumulate some form rather than coming in once every few weeks.

I know most people don't rate either player, but i just don't see a LB out there that i particularly want. I'm not sure we can just take out the cheque book and solve the problem, because there aren't that many great left backs around. I could pick a number of big teams in Europe who have a much bigger need for a left sided defender, because they can't find a good one.

Basically upgrade denilson, squillaci, rosicky and bendtner or chamakh and we'll be in good shape

that's 8 events which need to transpire. Denilson is almost done, and dependent on real interest ricky could be the Thomas upgrade

Started to get a hankering for Felipe Melo again. Do you think he could be that man I talked about above? He has been an absolute revelation for Juve this season. The "most dominant midfielder in the League" according to 2 different reports that I read, and he was in every single team of the season I checked from all the different websites/experts.

He's a lot like Song, only probably better at just about everything. He does also have similar weaknesses as Song though - can hold the ball too long at times, is very rash in the tackle, can switch off sometimes, but he has unbelievable power, a very good passing range, and an aggression and will to win that would be welcome here.

Melo is not a player we should look at. He's too stupid. Should've been told to control his temper and expand his passing two years ago. He went the other way instead. He's kind of like Parker in that respect too when you think about it. He's an accident waiting to happen.

Hes nowhere near Song's level though. Everytime I see him play, he is so stupid and brainless. Can't control his tempers and cause his teams to lose key matches as well.

I would personally sell Bendtner for 15m if we are buying another striker

He's only been sent off once this season mate, and by all accounts (and I would be very interested to see USArsenal's opinion on this), he has been extremely good for a struggling Juve side this year.
