Nah, he's got impressive ability too but personality (in a football sense) makes alot of difference.
Using an example a bit closer to home; Walcott, for instance, is someone who I feel has alot of personality on the pitch. Generally, he'll back himself and get a result because of it. Nasri, even though he is a better pure footballer in pretty much every way, doesn't have that same 'aura' about him. Ramsey vis-a-vis Diaby would be another example.
