Give Clichy, Djourou, Fabianski and Nasri new deals. Whoever hasn't signed by mid July is sold and a replacement bought.

Tell Cesc now that he isn't going and that he'll be playing as a midfielder next season. If he makes a fuss or sulks, sell him and buy a replacement.

Then buy 2 attacking players; a winger and a forward. Plenty about that we could target and we should target the best we can afford.

A central midfielder that has some experience and can play and is good enough to displace Song.

A centre back that's physically dominant and that, ideally, has played in the Premier League.

If we sold all those for £15m we'd have been fleeced like never before.

He did well, the first two goals came from his crosses. It was his first good game in about 5 months though. He spends more time going to Lil Wayne concerts than improving himself as a footballer. I wouldn't want him here, especially not for the amount of cash they would ask for.

I'm content with Sagna, even though his attacking play could be better. Then again, that part of his game was awesome with Hleb in front of him..

Jesus Tim, i know you want rid but that would be a ridiculous price. We should be looking at 40m minimum for that lot i'd guess.

Agree with the list though - we all know what must be done, the sad part is there's very little chance of it happening.

Standing, it's too tough to get both.

What you have reminded me though is just how better our players were back then in terms of physical attributes, quality and mindset. That's without mentioning pires, bergkamp, petit, ash cole and co

god it's depressing when you see guys like clichy and song as undisputed first teamers

It's also depressing when you see our fans crying out for average players all the time. Maybe some degree of practicality is needed, but how will will ever get back to the level we once were signing the likes of Baines, Parker and Bent? I'm not saying they aren't good players, but there not great players either.

I don't think there's actually anyone who directly compares with Campbell, Vieira, and Henry and is fit to lace their boots, but I suppose, for me, Terry, Xavi, and Ronaldo are the best in those three positions these days.

If Tevez's head was in the right place he'd be excellent for us.
He's the type of player who can take the game to the opposition and turn things around single handedly.

Can't believe there are still people who want Hangeland after his atrocious season this year. He would get torn apart like Squid in our setup.

Tiote is a good shout, one of the best players in premierleague this season but nobody seem to notice him

I don't rate them that highly, no. Tevez is class when he wants to be, but he's not my idea of a superstar centre forward. And although Marcelo is very good going forward, he can't defend, he's certainly no Ashley Cole.

I want us to spend our money on potential superstars - Hazard, Neymar, Sakho, Lukaku, and so on (a ready made superstar would be nice, but there's not a chance in hell!). A few practical signings sure, but we have a load of great youngsters who have Arsenal in their blood and have been learning to play our football for years, I'd rather them get the chance than sign plodders to put in front of them.

I think at this stage I'd be looking mainly for experience over potential.
Sure I'd take one out of Hazard or Neymar but for players to bought to fit straight into our starting XI I'd prefer those who have been part of title winning teams.

Ricky, we've been downgrading our players for a few years now so even average players look favourable when compared to some of our dross

the overall quality of footballers these days has fallen. There are more athletes around today and gone are the days of guys like albertini, baresi, guardiola, brehme, blanc, mattheus, gullit and co.
