You'd play mbiwa in midfield?
I'm hoping for Demba Ba, Lars Bender(or someone with a similar skill-set), Isco/Ben Arfa and maybe even one of Huntelaar/Llorente for a late Christmas present.
*The wish includes Walcott signing(or at least not leaving in January).

Yes, I think he'd be just as capable as a defensive midfielder as he is a center back.

I think hes much better as a centreback.

I don't think he was that bad, he broke up a few attacks and tried to get Montpellier going each time. Montpellier's whole team that night was poor in general.
He doesn't seem to be nimble enough for midfield. He's powerful but more for a one on one defending situation. He got by passed easily in midfield
He is no more a midfielder than Djourou.
Djourou was a defensive midfielder when he first joined tbf 🙂
I know, hence the comparison. Based on Yanga-Mbiwa versus us I'd wager he is still a better midfielder as well.
Maybe not wish list to the extreme, but signing mbiwa, ba and say lars bender wold see us get top four

You're more likely to get Wilfried Zaha as an early february gift.
Not feeling any of those wishlists. On the assumption we'd only make one big signing I'd be wishing for El Shaarawy - though that's clearly a wish wasted seeing as he's scored about half of Milan's goals this season and they don't want to sell.
Don't worry, y va. Every one of these lists is tempered with the bitter taste of disappointment and a healthy dose of reality.
