I completely agree, but the club aren't going to spend the required money for players like Götze. Ben Arfa is a bit better than Walcott imo and is more realistic. Ideally we would be going for the top tier talents but with the current manager and board, it isn't going to happen unfortunately.

Ben Arfa is not better than Walcott in anything that matters.
Here's an idea - why not just pay Walcott the £100k a week or so he asks for and thus keep the better player and at the same time save ourselves £10m pounds or so? Mind blowing.

You think that we would sell Walcott and then spend additional money to replace him? When/if we sell Walcott, we'll tout Oxlade-Chamberlain as the next big thing, even though he is clearly still 2 years away

Need Chamberlain to start playing properly. He's been very strange this season, can't work out exactly what's wrong with him.

He's just been growing physically. It affects his body, the way he runs, everything. He'll settle soon. It's easy to forget that he was seventeen when he broke into the first team. People probably don't remember it now but we saw the same thing with Jack when he emerged. He had a tough time after winning the FA Youth Cup final.

My wishlist for today;
Get Walcott to sign is top of my list.
A proper number one CF. Today I want Llorente. Send Giroud back to his place - an option off the bench and the odd start in meaningful games when we need to rest our real striker.
Another midfielder. Liberate Lucas Leiva from Liverpool perhaps?
A good enough all action LB who can actually play all the games except for those 20 when Gibbs is actually available. Can't believe how fast Santos turned to absolute dog poo. I liked him a lot last season. 🙁

Hopefully. Was expecting far more from him this season.

He is also playing like it is one of his Arsenal.com competitions where he has challenged himself to dribble past the FB time and time again without the variation of a cross here and there. He did this the whole time he was on the pitch against Villa and it wasn't working so i think the coach/coaches/Wenger should had a bit of a word.

Too much too soon for Chambo. Wants to be the star for 90 minutes. But I think he has a good head on his shoulders and he'll settle down soon enough. He is still just a kid.

Darren Bent appears to have fallen out of favour at Villa. Not even being named on the bench anymore. Worth a punt on a player with proven goal scoring ability in this league?

Coming round to the Huntelaar idea. If were going to have a limited striker, get one who is a true poacher.
His record speaks for itself & is probably in the peak of his career.

Would rather a top signing on the wings as you cant get a WC striker for less than 25m...

Get rid of Chamakh and Bendtner and replace with Huntelaar? It's a sensible plan if we admit that we will never spend more than 15m pounds on a single player.

Nothing wrong with Huntelaar but his signing will be another concession that we can't or won't do the deals to lift us a level.

Individually, he's a quality striker who will do well enough here.
