Not a chance in hell I'd drop Arteta for M'Vila, and I don't even think Arteta's as brilliant as some of you lot.

Or spend £17m for Ben Arfa unless we'd pursued quite a few other avenues first.

I'd sign a left-back, a versatile but high-end central midfielder, and a striker who's comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Conor, the only value there is Klaas.
For Ben Arfa, I'd put in Gotze or Isco. Ben Arfa is more or less Walcott quality. We need to be upping the talent in the front 4. Arsenal has traditionally enjoyed the likes of van Persie and Fabregas even in the winter of our trophyless despair. we need such quality again.

I completely agree, but the club aren't going to spend the required money for players like Götze. Ben Arfa is a bit better than Walcott imo and is more realistic. Ideally we would be going for the top tier talents but with the current manager and board, it isn't going to happen unfortunately.

It would be criminal of us not to go for Huntelaar at 6m, he scored 48 Goals in 47 Appearances last season in all competitions for Schalke. He's the best striker available and he's within Wenger's budget.

He's probably not within our budget, but Cavani would be a much better fit for our system/squad.

Cavani is a much better fit, but at 6 times the KJH price, it's a no-brainer.
Unfortunately, we'll probably ignore both and bring in a guy called Chametdner who's supposed to be the next big thing in Ligue 2.

There is no way we are getting cavani. Realistically the best we can do is Llorente or Dzeko. Further ahead we are 'reported' to have scouted Eder, Huntelaar, Adrian Lopez, Mbokani, Lewandowski etc.

We are also looking for a DM and have looked at Wanyama/Benat once M'Villa was stalled. Also reportedly we are looking at an LB as a backup/competition for Gibbs and also a RB in case Sagna leaves. Some guy from Udinese.

P.S. - Wenger really wanted Vertonghen but he choose spurs due to more chance of starting games

If we're going for a central midfielder, I hope we look at Moussa Sissoko; rather than a completely defensive midfielder like Wanyama. Pablo Armero would be a good choice for LB. Add Huntelaar and we would be adding 3 solid players to the team that would improve us tenfold.

Wouldn't touch Sissoko or Wanyama (seriously, where did the hype come from?).

I rarely watch Eredivise nowadays, but every time I've seen Kevin Strootman I've thought that he looks like someone we could use in central midfield. Really clever player with a good frame and a superb ability to read the game who seems to thrive on short passing. Above all he's a ball-winner.

Not seen enough of Wanyama. He's had one widely watched game that's caused everyone to get excited. We need Yaya-level quality (which we could have had for less than 2m pounds). I saw Oscar try to get the ball from him the other day. Yaya was so big and strong that Oscar, try as he might, could not get around the Ivorian. Yaya shielded the ball with his ass, then turned around and pulled away from the Brazilian like a big, black locomotive.

yaya is a brilliant player. love the way he pops a short pass to open up angles and bring players into the game. santi does that - RAMSEY DOES THE BLEEDIN OPPOSITE
