Yes, but Italian clubs all do him a nice big favour by being fucking slow.
to be fair, Van Bommel has been very good so far for Milan, but I somewhat agree with Asa here, the Serie A is not the same as the Prem.
He can do a job but we're beyond that now. We need to add real quality this summer.
The reason I brunged up van Bommel btw was cos there have been recent links

Denilson wants Willian (who only has 1 year left on his contract): http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11670_6868658,00.html
Maybe we could do a swap. It's not quite sending him to Siberia but it's close enough.
willian is too raw, we got diaby for that kinda stuff
Wouldn't mind him replacing Rosicky/Vela!
Who the hell is Willian? (seriously, I have no idea)
Shaktar player.
Anyway, forget him - get Gotze!
Seriously, his stats are superb. Messi-esque considering his age.
Really?
Mario Götze 2010/11 German Bundesliga GAMES : 27 GOALS: 5 ASSISTS: 10 SHOTS: 28
From ESPN Soccernet.
Messi had 8 goals and 4 assists in 25 as an 18 year old. He's as productive as Shava, and he's 29!
Not a bad shout actually. I'd prefer someone more like Walcott rather than Nasri, but I certainly wouldn't say no. Great talent.

I suppose, just doesn't seem all that impressive to me, especially as I don't really rate the Bundesliga much at all, but given his age I suppose it is. I wonder whether he takes their set-pieces?
How can you not rate the bundesliga?
I just don't think it's that difficult to do well there, not in comparison to the Premier League anyway.
Yeah, Ricky, you have some explaining to do. This is not your older brother's Bundesliga.
Standard in Bundesliga definitely better than France and possibly Italy if you ask me.
Ricky, do you watch the bundesliga with any regularity?
Because honestly, I don't see how someone with your opinions and views on football and how it should be played cannot rate it.
I love the bundesliga. Havn't watched as much this season because I dont bother with ESPN anymore, but watched loads of it last year. Very competitive football.
And very attacking as well, loads of superb technical play. That said, almost everyone who came to premierleague from Bundesliga did well here and could adapt straight away no?
