I have every confidence that if this boy joined Arsenal this summer, he'd be in the running for Player of the Year in his first season. Just adding Hazard to our present team would open up so many things. It would mean scoring pressure on Robin is reduced, while also creating more space for him as there is a genuine, tricky goal threat to draw defenders away. It would mean more goal scoring opportunities for runners like Walcott. It would put less pressure on Song to be Gattuso AND Pirlo at the same time.
In basketball, you often hear about a player who 'makes his teammates better'. That would almost certainly apply with Hazard. If Arsenal has 35m pounds sitting around somewhere, Gazidis should just write a check for this boy. Even with no further business, we'd be significantly improved.
