21 minutes of dreaming Asa, that's all you gave me!

I've been asleep most of the day - what was he like in today's game? Take it he scored, but how was he otherwise?

Hey, who knows, he's a quality player, Wenger will have watched him, might have had a word in his ear today... Personally, think the best we can hope for is a Robinho-type scenario, where we make a completely unrealistic pitch to the kid, but get our hopes up for a few weeks. But maybe...

Only saw the first half, but he was impressive every time he got the ball. Sublime little flicks and touches, twisting and turning to beat his man with ridiculous close control, 2 or 3 perfect little through balls, and a brilliant finish for his first goal. Like I said, I missed the second half, but I know he won and then scored a penalty to make it 2-0. He's bloody brilliant frankly, the sort of superstar signing you've talked about us needing, but of course we all know realistically it won't happen. And we can't even really blame Wenger here either, I'm sure City, Chelsea and maybe Real will offer the kid the earth.

Neymar? Too short - move on.

in all seriousness, is his wiki right? says he's not even 5'9". he looks taller on tv.

No, he's 5'9" at best. If anything it just serves to aid his dribbling ability. His balance, agility and acceleration are pretty insane.

Neymar hearts Chelsea. If they get him they'll be pretty darn special again. Wenger should have seen this season as our real big hope of the title. shame

He'll go anywhere, don't pay attention to that interview.

He loves London too, said he loved being able to "walk down the street in peace". We won't get him though, probably more chance of shitty Spurs getting him. 😆

Worth keeping in mind that Chelsea last went in for him before they spent 50m on Torres.

Well, hopefully his experiences at the Emirates won't sour his opinion of us.

I've always quite liked Ashley Young, and thought there's more to him than Martin O'Neill could get, but I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to 'wish' for him, especially now as he'd probably be our 4th choice in the current team as a wide forward.

Young is decent but for the amount of money he would cost, nowhere near worth it.

I would rate him as better than Walcott.

Arsene is not in the habit of buying England international players so Young is a bit of a wasted wish.

Young, for me, is underwhelming in most of what he does. I'm not saying he isn't a good player, and maybe better than good in the right team, but he's just so one-dimensional. I only really like him as a left sided wide man, where he an cut in and play those inswinging crosses he's known for, but in our team that wouldn't be of use, and as anything else I think he's pretty average.

Sometimes it's helpful to have a player who does one or two things well, as opposed to having a team filled with jacks of all trades. Young would give us much of the pace we desperately lack on attack.

He's no quicker than Nasri, or the difference is negligible, and Theo is obviously a fair bit quicker. Arshavin is no slouch either. I just don't see what he'd bring other than his good wing play when he's stationed on the left wing and we don't play that way here.

I woudln't complain if we singed him and I think he's a good player, but he wouldn't be near the top of my list of mew players for our wide positions that's for sure.

"Mew players"? 😆

Young is pretty underrated technically. I can't see him start ahead of Walcott or Nasri but he'd be a good replacement for Arshavin in the squad. Would also prefer to sign someone else though.
