I´ve decided I´d be equally happy with any one of Podolski, Jovetic or Lavezzi. On top of that we should buy Götze no matter what Dortmund want for him. 35m? Do it.

thing is, we do have 50m to spend, and we'd recoup some of that by selling diaby, bendtner, vela, denilson, almunia, rosicky, wellington, and squillaci, who collectively contribute as much to this team as i do. there's no reason why we couldn't offer 12m for podolski and 30m for hazard, or whatever.

😆 This is the wishlist after all!
On a serious note - I don´t think one of Jovetic, Podolski and Lavezzi is unreasonable. They should all roughly be around 20m pounds, give or take. We should also quite easily be able to afford those players´ wage demands.

I hope those in charge at Arsenal realize the importance of RVP, and the importance of convincing him that Arsenal is the place where he can win at. We NEED a big signing in January for him to commit I think.

As for Götze - he would be a sound financial investment. Bar a career ending injury he will have doubled his worth within 4 years me thinks.

If we can shift Arshavin, that should free up plenty of cash.

Chamakh as well. I reckon he is on decent wages since there was no transfer fee though. Will be difficult to get rid of because of that, and twice as difficult to shift him in January due to the ACN as well.

We really should have stupid money available if you count the surplus from the summer.

The problem is that there is none available in the middle of a season. Podolski is probably the closest we're going to get but the question is whether he's worth it or not. I like him as a player and feel we could use him in a wide position, but I probably wouldn't spend £20 million on him. Better go for Götze or someone like him in the summer with whatever cash we have available instead.

The Euros complicate things. Will be difficult to sign players who are going there BEFORE the Euros, and AFTER the Euros it is quite possible we will have no chance whatsoever to sign a player like Götze.

There's always a way. If we were willing to pay for the option, I don't see why we couldn't agree terms to a Goetze sale now and then execute it in the summer, provided he's healthy. The only risk would really be on his part because it's not clear if we are going to be a Champions League club, but if he's willing to take that risk and we compensate Dortmund for the certainty they give us, then everyone wins. Dortmund already knows it has money in the bag and can start looking for replacements, we have our man, and he can focus on going out of Bundesliga with a bang.

I'm going off the idea of podolski. He may be a problematic character to satisfy and getting him may mean we won't move for top quality in that position in te next few windows.

We should do all we can to get di natale in January. Even spunking 8-9 mill on him would be money well spent
