If we had gone into the summer aggressively and got Enrique, Cahill and Vidal; we would have been able to field a much stronger team today, and that would have been independent of the Nasri / Fabregas situation. Farking farce.

I'm hopeful we can get Cahill. Maybe a big wad of money will get M'Vila to come as well. Exciting forwards? I can't see why someone like Hazard wouldn't wait for a big move to Madrid or AC Milan.

I never thought I'd say this but we need to hijack Scott Parker's move to Spurs. We desperately need a stop-gap midfield solution with Premier League experience that can be depended on to do a job. Parker is the only one I can think of in England who is available and isn't technically retarded.

Just saying it makes me feel dirty. If it's a choice between Parker and M'Vila (or even worse: Parker and no one) I'll take Parker any day though. I've given up the idea that we're going to sign a great central midfielder at this stage. I really thought we would get a Montolivo or a Banega when Cesc left. Someone with great ability on the ball in a more central midfield role. Parker is the third or fourth best thing in that context. Far from great, but at least there's more to him than just breaking up play.

Well, Scott Parker,out there today with his work ethic and half time team talks could have kept the score to 3-1. I think he is an improvement on most of our midfielders. I would take him.

really? for me parker not nearly good enough on the ball. he was way out of his depth for england against switzerland i think it was. looked utter shite next to wilshere and lampard(?).

i think barton is a better player.

I think they're a bit of the same. Technically sound players who have been encouraged to destroy rather than create and now they're inherently flawed. I don't know, I really don't want any of them at Arsenal but it's gotten so far in this window that I'll settle for a player that can be depended on to do the bare minimum when we ask him to. It helps if looking at him doesn't make me puke in my mouth too, so Barton goes out the window for me.

The biggest difference between Parker and Barton is their personalities. Parker would add something to the dressing room that we desperately miss and Barton is cancer on any dressing room he's part of.

I'd love us to sign Parker and another mid before the deadline. We need players, its that simple. Parkers an average Premiership player with loads of experience and excellent leadership qualities. I'd take that over playing Coquelin again this season.

Don't think so. Parker is better in the centre than Barton and TBH Barton never looked all the good after Carroll left Newcastle last season.
