I would happily take Kaka on loan. I watched him last year, and from about 3 or 4 games after his return, he played really well. It's just tough for him that he was playing in a really good Real squad. He would definitely help us and replace some of the qualities we are losing with the departures of Cesc (playmaking) and Nasri (penetration). He is not 2006 - 08 Kaka, but the form at end of last season was better than anything that we will see from Walcott, Arshavin, Gervinho and Oxtail.

Well thats the thing Cal, if we were really short of money and Wenger seriously wanted to win games, he'd try to bring in players on loan but we never do-Why?
Because it would kill Jenkinson and Frimpong.
The reason he's pulling his hair out on the bench has more to do with his shit project being exposed for the failure it is- not because we aren't winning.

We just put a loan bid for Lucho.

It's rare for a big club to loan a big player from another club unless a Baptista or Hendrik Larrson type situation emerges. Still, I'd take Kaka in a heart beat - not that Madrid would let him go.

Sorry Capi, but that doesn´t make sense at all. I know you rate Oxpot highly, and there is also Ryo, but do we really need to get rid of one more established player to make room for another baby? Isn´t it enough that Gibbs has been gifted a starting spot, Jenkinson a number 2 spot, and Frimpong, Ramsey, Ryo and Oxpot places way too high up in our squad?

He could and should have had an assist yesterday; it doesn't excuse the fact that he broke down almost every other attacking move, hung Sagna out to dry all game and generally was a liability.

We have scored 1 goal in 3 competitive matches so far.
Last year in the league we averaged 17.26 shots per game, and 6.26 shots on goal per game.
Against Pool we had 12 shots in total and 3 shots on goal.

Despite those depressing numbers you want to sell our most productive player from last year despite not bringing in a replacement? I know Arshavin has his flaws, but to me it still doesn´t make sense.

For the record I think Arshavin was better than RVP, Ramsey and Walcott yesterday.

I'm with Rex. Getting rid of Arshavin would be an absolutely disastrous move. More so if/when Nasri goes. Shava won't be starting very often anyway; he'll be an impact sub and he'll play when we have injured/fatigued players.

People are forgetting just how good this guy is. We're not replacing him if we sell him. Look at our other options: Chamberlain hasn't played above League 1 level, Ryo has played 12 professional club matches in his life, Campbell has played 8 - in Costa Rica. How anyone on planet earth can seriously suggest we're better off without Shava is beyond me.

Only Nani, Drogba and Cesc got more assists in the world's best league than Arshavin last season. He's a seasoned professional at the very top level. Obviously he was shocking yesterday, but then again so were Ramsey, Theo and Robin (and a few more) - should we get rid of them as well?

Those numbers don't mean anything Rex. Why give me season stats compared to a single game's stats against a top six team who came for the draw? You're comparing apples and oranges.

You like Arshavin, I get it, but he is a liability and anyone who watched the match yesterday and any of his recent matches will tell you the same. He missed 40% of his passes yesterday and not just in the final third. We are a passing team who relies on transitioning the ball through the midfield; a weak link like that kills us as it did yesterday. He hustled and he wasn't the worst player on the pitch because Theo made baby jesus cry but one is a 22 year old on the up and the other is a senior player in severe decline.

Ship him out.

If Wenger really wants kaka then he should buy him. A loan would be a waste.

And Arshavin should be sold. He's a liability.

Arshavin was very poor yesterday in terms of keeping possession and has been so for quite a while.

I had hoped we'd see some kind of resurrection in his form but it's looking increasingly unlikely.

However I think we should be concentrating all of our efforts into buying players now in the ten days that are left.

I don't see what we're going to gain by adding more protracted sales negotiations to the list.

Spend the time and money wisely.
Buy a CB.
Buy a striker.
Buy Kaka.

Arshavin is a complete liability. Really hurts to admit it but he is. His pass selection is so poor that you more or less expect him to give away the ball.

Not sure what to think about that. He's one of the best players I've ever seen but his decline is obvious. I don't think he'd adapt to Premier League too well at this stage either.

If we're not signing anyone then just get rid of the likes of Shava, Rosicky etc and really go all out with the kids. Give them games and have them ready. No point keeping Ryo and Ox on the bench for sub par players on the decline, I'd much rather be playing players on the up.
