This is why Wenger is fond of Barton. They're both part-time self-styled philosophers
Charles de Gaulle came up with it. The cemeteries of the world are full of indispensable men.
Yeah, I know. That quote would have been more powerful if he'd been standing next to Hazard, Lucho, and Cahill. We would have laughed, applauded the man and been done with our worries
Does Riccardo Montolivo count as 'super quality'?
No it doesn´t.
Montolivo is a brilliant player. Would probably have the same role as Wilshere at Arsenal, but we should definitely go for him. Only a year left on his deal and he just lost the captaincy when he refused to extend. There's little doubt he's going.
Maybe not super quality, but definitely quality.
Klaus, he's similar to Jack, but I wouldn't see a problem with having two players of that calibre who are quite similar. Might give Wilshere a bit more licence to get forward too.
Tim: I agree. We play with two central midfielders anyway, so we might as well have two that are top quality.
Have we been linked to him lately?
He is a good, creative player, but at 26 he neither scores or assists enough from the position he plays to be labelled "super quality". I´d take him here though, don´t get me wrong!
Klaus: No, dont think so. Just think he's being touted as available at a very affordable price. Dont think he's signing a new contract.
He is their Nasri right?
Ok, a new 'wishlist' (trying to keep it moderately realistic).
-Vertonghen -Montolivio -Hazard
£50 million for that lot I guess.
I'd take that.

He's a deep-lying playmaker whose job is to run the midfield. Similar to Wilshere, Alonso and Pirlo. His stats are fine for the kind of role he has.
Song has better stats than him is all I am saying. NOT very impressive for a CM. Also, the question was whether he could be considered "super quality", and I´ll stand by my "No" on that one.
Song has better stats than Wilshere too.
If Song has better stats, if he has similar to last season, than Wilshere when Jack is 26 I am going to say that Jack isn´t super quality as well.
Apparently he's available for about £10 million. Got to wonder what we've got up our sleeves for the midfield, if anything at all, if we're not interested in that kind of deal for a good, experienced, technically gifted player like Montolivio.
Personally I think Aquillani is as good as montolivo
my wishlist of the day is
mata, banega, vertonghen, lucho and Zamora

Doesn't matter what age he is. Jack was a top player last season. I don't need stats to tell me that. It's not a position where the odd goal or goal pass is overly important.
