Eduardo is a good shout, remembered Reyes didn't play much at the start too and only got his proper chance against Chelsea in the FA Cup.

Reyes isn't a good example at all. He was used off the bench in most of the games before he started against Chelsea. Then he became a semi regular player. And that was 21 when you'd expect a player to be used a bit less, especially in the invincible side.

I don't think its usual for Wenger to sign a player from a strong league in his late 20s for relatively big money and then leave him out. I'm not saying its a massive deal but it is definitely unusual and would suggest there is something going on.

Scenario not that similar actually. Invincibles at that time was badly in need of reinforcements in a vastly tiring side struggling to cope with 3 other competitions, Perez is coming into a squad probably strongest in squad depth under Wenger. And it's the start of the season, Wenger normally refrains from rotation too much, which will also normally cost him later during feb.

I am comfortable with Wenger taking time, don't think it's any more than that, he sees Perez in training. I reckon he would have come on at the weekend if we were 3-0 up at the hour mark rather than just leading by a goal. He just doesn't trust Perez yet to have a strong impact on the game may be. We will definitely see him in the League Cup in a week, hopefully he impresses.

If I was to guess I'd say he's probably not physically where Wenger wants him to be, which is disappointing for a 28 year old signing.

I'd say it's as simple as Wenger not wanting to change things. Then it's a matter of who comes off the bench first, there's plenty of established folks here who want and need mins too.

I think so too. He decided to go with Sanchez as our main striker because he couldn't find anything in the market, and since then he's been trying to get the attack to gel. We're seeing the benefits right now on the pitch.

People keep forgetting that we started the season with an almost completely new spine. You need to give the team a chance to settle down. In this context it means that players like Elneny, Perez and Holding will have to be a little patient.

I would guess it's simply because Wenger has stumbled upon Alexis at striker and has decided he likes it. He very rarely takes Alexis off either, I honestly think he's a bit deterred by the stick Alexis would give him

Sanchez has needed a rest, Ox has come on a lot. I'm disappointed Perez hasn't had more minutes.

I dunno, fitness or strength maybe. Usually I think when Wenger is keeping people out like this after signing them its because he wants them to focus on something specific in training.
