Cant take Basel lightly , they do well against English clubs. This game is a must win so no chances taken.. get out there with the one change Xhaka for Coq and get a good lead early then think of substitutions later.

They're not as talented as they have been in recent years, we should be fine. It's hard to maintain a high level when your best talent leaves season after season, like Xhaka and Elneny, not to mention Shaquiri, Embolo, Schar etc.

Monreal improving and an extra game for the back 4 to gel are legit claims, but I'd still rest him. I'd also rest Caz, but I don't think Wenger will. Theo probably spent more energy than ever before, and Perez (and Ox) are there - but if he insists he wants to play "coz he's in da mood", I'd probably let him. All (bar Nacho) are things only the boss can really call. But we should definitely take this very seriously, and try to win it early.

Ideally I would have wanted Perez to start this one, but there's a good argument to keep playing Alexis at the moment. He's still finding his feet in the new role and this is another good opportunity to bang in a few goals and add to the confidence gained in the Chelsea game. If we're expecting him to be our main striker it would be stupid to screw up his momentum.
