Surely Schweinsteiger has a strong case to get his contract annulled with all this in mind, should he wish it. It reminds me of how Lazio treated Pandev.

Pretty sure Schweinsteiger wants to sit his contract out. He's on massive wages, injury prone and has declined a good bit already, the only teams that he'd be an asset for as he is couldn't pay him even half of what he's on now

Not even slightly surprised to be reading those sorts of rumours. It's been obvious for a long long time the destructive impact he was having on morale. Their season is fucked, called it months ago.

It would be pretty stupid for the United hierarchy to be surprised if that report is true given his history. He's not actually been that bad yet, I expect it will need a few more negative results before he goes full Mourinho on us.
