Iwobi just keeps surprising me. When he got injured in the Liverpool game i though it might ba a long way back for the youngster, but he's been back and firing like nothing happened. Just so much better than the headless chicken Ox.

Giroud looked seriously rusty today and the fact that we finally seem to start clicking with Alexis up top, it doesnt look good for him right now.

Iwobi's passing and movement for the second goal was sheer class.

General

Iwobi is an intelligent player and you can't say that too often about our young players. The way he probed and weaved through Chelsea's lines was just excellent. Having pace up top opens up scoring avenues.

Very pleased we kept to the task in the second half and didn't lose our focus. Also glad that Wenger in a rare moment of proactive match management reacted to Chelsea's tactical shuffle. We could've scored more goals and also conceded one or two. It looked more like a 5-2 game. Would've liked to have seen Perez rather than Giroud. I think the immediate future is either Sanchez or him. There are major challenges ahead and I hope we don't switch back to that lamp post upfront like we did last season.

General

I thought Cazorla's passing was off at times and created two or three scary moments for us. There was the Bellerin sprint to deny Pedro although I think that was Kos's mistake and then there was a stray pass up the field that quickly led to Bastchuayi having a one on one with Cech. Very happy that we have genuine quality on the bench to bring on. In previous seasons gone by, Coq's injury would've led us to relying on useless players like Flamini and Arteta to see out the game. Elneny didn't even make the bench.

Long overdue win and has shades of the 3-0 against United last season.

Did anyone else notice Wenger telling ozil to keep it 'on ground' when he did one of his flicks. Very rare to see him doing something like that.

What a wonderful spectacle and performance that was. Can't really remember when I enjoyed a game of football as much as I enjoyed watching this. Everyone did really well, and the focus and application from every single player was a joy to watch. Cazorla, Coquelin and Xhaka dominated central midfield pretty much the whole game; I thought Cazorla was great. Alexis is our striker, and I love that. I also loved how Kos and Mustafi dominated, harried and kicked Costa up and down the pitch for 90 minutes. Special moment here was when first Kos kicked him to the ground, and as he was going down Coq followed up with a timely knee to the chest. 🙂
Theo, once again, one of our best players, and good to see Monreal showing he still has a performance like that in him.

I agree, the great bit is we can vary, be tactical. Wenger now has a plan B, a real one.

Yep and in hindsight Sanchez was perfect for Chelsea who can't defend on the floor for toffee.

General

BT sport needs to get rid of Steve McManaman and Michael Owen. These two are a complete waste of space. McManaman was acting like Chelsea rent boy throughout the game focusing on Hazard's defensive lapses rather than the beauty that was our second goal. Nothing worse than having a fecking Scouser comment on a London Derby. Only Glen Hoddle brought a bit of sanity to affairs.
