Personally, I don't really care that Alexis gives the ball away a lot. It mostly happens in the final third, it is mostly because he is trying to take an initiative to break the mold, and his success rate in his actions and output overall make it well worth it. It is Walcott trying to dribble I absolutely detest!

We won't be able to sign anyone even close to as good as Sanchez, so if he leaves, we'll probably have a worse team next year.

Tactics

I'd only sell if we are guaranteed to sign Mbappe or Aguero otherwise I'd force him to stay. Transfers can be unpredictable and a year is a long time in football, we have seen players have a last minute change of heart. Wasn't Angulo on his way to London to sign for us before he made a complete U-turn and stayed at Valencia ? De Gea looked set to sign for Madrid few seasons ago but he's still at Man United and he seems pretty content there these days.

Unfortunately I don't trust this club to turn down 50m bid for Sanchez though, especially from a foreign club, knowing we may lose him for free in 12 months time. Let's see if we are finally ready to put sporting ambition ahead of money

This exactly, the only way we should contemplate such a sale is we are already getting Lemar and we get another player of equal quality to Sanchez. I don't for one moment believe Arsenal or Wenger will do that. Any other outcome would be a backwards move for the club and once again show everything we need to know about our ambition.

In a way I quite like that Wenger will feel the repurcussions for his mismanagement if Sanchez leaves.

I get what your saying. I'm sure Alexis wanting to leave will be viewed as an outlier (he's difficult to work with, agent is greedy etc.), rather than any wholistic examination of the situation happening

Sanchez is brilliant but the above are mostly excuses. He does give the ball away a lot, for us, for Chile and did frustrate when he was at Barcelona as well.

Who cares. He more than makes up for it with goals and assists.
