Its not about RVP. The people running the club have no balls , and until they show different i can see Sanchez going anywhere.

Keeping Sanchez is the easy decision, selling him to United or anyone in England would take massive balls.

They would. Easily so , but i dont think he will want to go there.

I don't think he will leave at all this summer. Suspect he will end up signing a new contract at much higher wages with a release clause at a decent price if we don't make CL. Most logical decision for all parties.

Dont think it will work that way. He will most likely leave on a free , he will have better options that way and get a mega salary as well. Makes no sense signing a new deal if he wants out.

After the earlier PR campaign against him he owes the club nothing & there is no benefit to him to sign a new deal,
particularly if AW fails to sign his targets and leaves the match day squad short and unbalanced.

This is a large part of why I think keeping him for another year makes sense. He will be more likely to go to Bayern or someone else abroad if he's on a free.

Well you have to be in it to win it. I don't think staying here for another year increases his chances.

No but if he really wants to win the thing he basically needs to go to Madrid, Bayern, or back to Barca

do city even have the wherewithal or desire spend the 60-70m to get him? they've spent 100m already and need a few more defenders, and its not like they aren't stacked for attacking options already. i can see them chucking some lowball offers at us to apply pressure, but not pushing the boat out

I'm talking about the decision the club needs to make. I think Alexis would stay for a year, do his best and leave. At that point where is he most likely to win the CL? Bayern already came in for him this summer but decided he was too expensive with wages and fee. I think they knew that would happen but wanted him to know he can move to them next season if he's a free agent, its a very Bayern style move.

Wenger should sell players if they are willing to go into their last two years without a new contract. These situations are a nightmare that keeps reoccurring because he is a sap with these players and their agents. No matter your quality if you can't agree terms the player should be sold on.

I don't think it would have been any easier to swallow selling them last summer, in fact it would have been worse. And selling them with 2 years to go or selling them with a year to go, it's all the same really. There's also the fact that you can't actually force someone to leave.

What we really need to do is get ourselves in a situation where the majority of players will have no doubts about signing new deals. Making Petr Cech your only summer signing and losing out on the title to Leicester City and then subsequently falling out of the top 4 is not the way to go about doing that.

The difference between selling them with 2 years left rather than one is that you can get a much better fee for your players. With a year to go the player and any pitential buyers can either wait to ger them on a free a year later or for a xut price deal the summer before their contract runs out. Makes a big difference really.
