Ozils job isn't just to find a player in a red and white shirt anyway. He is there to make things happen and he isn't doing that this season. We don't seem to be able to get Sanchez and Ozil both playing well together. A lot was made about how Giroud was hampering Ozils strengths but I believe the opposite was true. Having a standard CF suits Ozil. He doesn't like when the shape is more fluid.
Ozil contract talks
I think Theo/Lucas rather than Ozil should be player running into the CF spot when Alexis drops deep.
His presence beside Alexis would give us an extra pass option and i trust Ozil more than anyone else to find whoever makes the forward run.
Unfortunately Wenger wants him as a second striker as we keep hearing from his interviews.

The Sanchez/ Ozil combination has been one of the positives of the season actually. It's the least of our problems. We were the top scorers in the league until a few days ago largely thanks to these two. Ozil is simply in bad form and his struggles in big games go back to last season when Giroud was leading the line and misfiring. Also playing Sanchez up top has taken the scrutiny away from our inconsistent wide men as the attack relies on them getting to the byline and putting in good crosses when Giroud is up top. I think the positives of playing Ozil behind Sanchez far outweigh the negatives.

If we get Simeone, they'll both stay.
Doubt Ozil would be up for Simeone's approach, but Sanchez is made for it.
Simeone is having a really poor season anyway, same goes for Tuchel.
So did Klopp before Liverpool got him

It's poor for his standard as he is not in the title fight. It's what we know, he will get top4 easy in the end.

Dortmund's had a lot of injuries, too. Their playing style is as is good as it's ever been. Honestly, so many teams are more fun to watch than Arsenal. We haven't deserved our reputation for many years now.
Ozil is a joke, hasn't shown up for 6 weeks.
That is not a world class trait.
He assisted the only goal today with a great cross. Jog on.
I thought he was a bit better today in general but was disappointed he hadn't created much, then he did and won us the game (along with Giroud). Thats exactly what we want from him. Hopefully the start of his form coming back to him.

Doesn't justify him being absolutely dogshite for the last month and a half.
Pipe down Zlatan lover.
You're always doing this, Sicario. You get your knickers in a twist over two-bit players like Coutinho and Kane but you wouldn't recognise genuine quality if it shat you in the face. Being wrong absolutely all the time doesn't seem to make you humble either.
The only joke in here is you who feel the need to point out that a player hasn't shown up after he created the only goal in the game.
Name one time I have rated Kane.
One time.

Yeah. He started to be more incisive in the last 20 but for the majority of the match he was pretty poor again in general play. Its the simple passes that he couldn't get it right that was really disappointing.

At any rate, this is getting way off topic. I'm out.

Fair play klaus, fair play.
