I hope the break helped Saka, Rice, Zubi, etc cos they've looked tired. Also hope Ode is ready now. But Hincapie got injured which is a huge blow. Gyokeres played hard for 2 games but caught a big buzz. Ultimately who knows if the break is negative or positive, not everything has to be a decisive thing, sometimes things just happen and it doesn't define a season. Win or lose ultimately no one's going to look back and say "yeah it was the England vs Japan international break that made the difference".

Less concerned with Eze.. He will be back soon (as will Noni, though Noni will be back sooner). Hincapie is the question mark. Yes, Calafiori is back now, but we can't overplay him immediately. Not sure if i trust MLS enough to play him in bigger games. Maybe against Soton.

It may have been against U21as but I thought MLS looked sharp and quicker.

Think he’d be fine vs Southampton if we need to save Calafiori for Sporting and/or the league.

Though perhaps the best bet is to play Cali vs Southampton, rest him midweek, and have him ready for Bournemouth.

Would love to see Eze, Odegaard & Rice in midfield at some point, defensively will be shit but when we need a goal we need a bit of chaos in there.

JazzG dangerous time to be trying new things at this point of the season but I reckon Eze left wing is worth a shot with Calafiori behind him. Let Rice and Zubimendi hold down midfield to free up Odegaard and Eze to be creative.

We’ve such a strong defence it’s not outlandish to think we can allow Odegaard and the others a bit more room to play their natural game instead of being confined to the straight jacket of Arteta’s vision.

I would rather see Hincapie if we're starting Eze at LWF.
