Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta:

"Kai Havertz he's done a part of the session. We will wait and see if he's available and in which condition.

"Martin Odegaard is the other where we will see. Ben White is not available. Max Dowman is available.

"Martin has to wait and do certain actions."

On Declan Rice: "I hope so [that he will make it]. He was much better today. We haven't trained much as we only have two days to prepare for the game. Hopefully he's going to be better tomorrow.

"David Raya is good to go."

Sounds like Havertz and Ode may make bench. Rice will be forced to play and White is not available. What happened to him? 😔 Need him for Saturday.

Pepe LeFrits add Ode and Havertz to that list. Saka/Jesus are boderline. The 2023/2024 boys really gave their bodies for that title. We need to win a title to justify their efforts and for them to have something to show for as most of them now have chronic injury issues.

I would be so mad if indeed White is physically done. Hope it's just rumors. But while I feel for him as a footballer, I do wonder quite how foolish he is as a person considering he basically played himself (or allowed himself to be played) into this condition.

-- you're not really thinking about that when you're a young player with no experience of how this might affect you long term. It was the responsibility of the people around him (the club especially) to give him this advise and if needed, force his hand. But as we were benefiting, we turned a blind eye. I don't blame White at all.

tazmania To be clear I'm just making it up, but the problematic of White's baffling low utilisation by Arteta certainly could be explained by career-limiting chronic injury issues, and it's not like in White's case there's no smoke for that fire. I'm not sure any Arsenal player was ever discussed more in terms of his capacity to play through pain.

tazmania in addition to what BW said, we've also been linked to a few RBs with Romano saying it's a priority position this summer. Reading the tea leaves, it very much feels like his time is up.

Can see us replacing white, odegaard and Calafiori this summer based on availability alone

But that would give us a lot to do in the summer s our priorities really ought to be to replace Jesus, add quality and depth to the midfield and finally get an upgrade in for the left side of the attack

In fairness I remember Dave Seaman playing the CWC final with broken ribs. I haven't seen anyone else match that level of heroic playing through pain.
