On the other hand, it really doesn't matter much. Evidently no one thinks Havertz is in Henry's league but equally I think it can be said his "underlying numbers" in England will look better than those of our other options at 9 if Gyökeres doesn't find another gear.

And if Gyökeres' doesn't quite stack up, we really have to go into the summer window continuing the hunt for the right striker.

This absolutely has to be Gabriel Jesus' final season here. We need to fail fast with Gyokeres and open up squad space for the new striker. Even if we aren't getting a top striker, I'd take anyone who "fits" better, eg even a Giroud type. Physical, can hold up play, has good technical ability and the instincts to attack the ball in the box, good heading ability. Just guarantee 20 goals in the league a season. That's all we need.

Sicario2 Considering the wages Havertz is on I'd love to be his agent! As far as our CF options go he is our best shot at winning the title, by no means is the the perfect player and long term we need someone better but he is our best player in that position.

We gave Gyokeres a try and despite some of our fans trying to say otherwise he has unfortunately turned out exactly like I thought he would. We have a title to win, we haven't got time for passengers in this team.

Havertz is not a perfect player but he is a level above our other options up front. He will make a huge difference.
