That is really sad to hear Klaus, it really is. 8 surgeries is indeed almost impossible to come back from. I didn't hear about that interview with him in March and was actually wondering at times where and when he'd be back.

Was hoping he could at least have a Rosicky like impact for us from the bench here and there and to be a role model to the younger guys in the team. The guy always seems has a smile on his face, even when things are turning to shit which makes this even sadder to hear.

Pretty worried Koscielny will end up the same with his Achilles injury. Koscielny already admitted he is using pain killers and it's difficult to play more than 1 match per week. That was Cazorla in the past and we risked him in every meaningless game and ruined him.

Was reading this interview with Bielik the other day, and he mentions Cazorla like 3 times in his interview. Bloody awful, what's happened with him.

I know that if I play with Santi Cazorla and I give a good, strong ball between the lines, he’ll receive it on the turn and create a lot of space for us.

Hamburg is not Arsenal, it’s not managed by Wenger and they don’t have Santi Cazorla playing in the middle. Whenever someone asks me who the best player at Arsenal is, I always say Santi.

I couldn't see Cazorla coming back from the first operation and the subsequent ones mean it's definitely over.
Like Rosicky, the little man will always be an Arsenal legend in my heart and i wish him all the best.

Pound for pound, he's probably one of Wenger's best signing. Monreal has gotta be up there as well.

Yup, if for no other reason than the fact that Cazorla, at 2ft0, can probably be bench pressed by a 5 year old.

Perhaps if he were ever fit enough to actually play a game of football you might have point. But he isn't so you don't.

It's only in the last 2 years he has been injured.
First season, he was our player of the year.
The following season he scored that free kick just before half-time when we were 2-nil down in the cup final.
The next season he was man of the match when we won the FA cup again.
Post-Arteta, he has been our midfield and was our best player when playing AM with Arteta in the deep role.
Everytime he has been out, our performances have become disjointed.
I say i have a point as Alexis still has a way to go to match this as, although he has won an FA cup this year, he is part of the crew that meekly lost to the spuds and dropped us out of the top 4 for the first time in 20 years.

If that doesn’t happen, it’ll be the Europa League – a competition which certainly lacks the same lustre. However, the Arsenal manager insisted it wouldn’t make life more difficult with the two star players.
