All you can do is laugh at this point really. How does this repeatedly keep on happening soon after we sign someone? Was there a previous injury to that knee so a pre-existing weakness or a red flag we either missed or thought would be OK in the medical? Is there something about our training that's so different to other clubs that these kind of injuries become a risk? Or are we really just cursed?

History of hamstring injuries for the last 4 years which had peaked in 2021/22. No idea how our club medical staff assessed that risk.

QuincyAbeyie dunno. In this instance, I do think the CWC is the problem. Chelsea seem to be suffering a few issues as a result.

Anyways, 2 months could have been worse. In the grand scheme of things we should have enough to manage without him for that time.

Burnwinter Said it before, but whenever an injury situation gets like this you sack everyone who's involved in the fitness. There's no time to ponder what might be improved, and even if there were, it would take years, maybe even decades to find the one root cause, provided there's only one. We need to hold them accountable collectively and get new people in.
