Sicario2 JazzG Are any of these lads the kind of striker you want to start 5-6 games in a row though? I don't think they're good enough to play a string of games up front, especially not if we're gonna play more direct football. Marty being the closest fit probably, but he has played as a winger for years now. It's like saying we don't need any backups in central midfield because we can just drop Saliba there if needed. Or we don't need any extra centrebacks because Zubimendi can do a job.

No one would accept this kind of nonsense anywhere else in the team, but when it comes to the most crucial position for winning it's for some reason okay. Berta can't sort out this club quickly enough.

I had keyhole surgery done on my knee, it wasn't a big deal and I recovered quickly. It wasn't like rehab after ACL surgery where it feels like you're basically building your muscles back from zero.

He hurt his knee once with Chelsea, but was only out for like a week and a half or something.

Ok so this is first knee operation which is good, for some reason thought it was his second but forget the one earlier in the year was for his hamstring. Anyway, he won’t be starting games and will be playing less than last year so hopefully be able to manage.

We haven't got to the second game of the season and we're already in something that in previous seasons would have constituted a full-blown injury-crisis: Saka, Odegaard, Havertz, White, Norgaard, Trossard all injured. So annoying.

It isn't difficult to see how Arteta has managed to sell this idea of needing a super-squad to the board. We're barely into the season and we already need the use of it's full depth.

Mirth I don't think Odegaard can be put down to that, didn't he take a nasty tackle playing for Norway last season which took him out.
