Dom I was wondering if all those pounds he bulked up outside of the pitch contributed to the injury. Always seems like a big red flag to me when footballers put on pounds in the gym without trying them on the pitch.

Dom he still managed 36 goal contributions over 2 seasons at Chelsea. As a back up, on loan I wouldn't say no if Kai's badly hurt.

Qwiss I really like Jackson too. His crappy goalscoring is exactly why you can't have him as your main guy but he does bring a lot of other things to the table, and unlike Havertz and Merino he moves the right way on the pitch. Think there's another level to unlock in him for a more settled club than Chelsea are right now.

There are some Nketiah similarities, which I'm sure people will take as a negative, but I think Eddie's issue in the end was that some of his edge got coached away. He had a lot of potential.

It deprived us of Ronaldo's best years. IIRC, Socrates - who was also a doctor - mentioned that anabolic steroid abuse led to Ronaldo's devastating knee injury at Inter. It makes sense because anabolic steroids are proven to alter the elastic modulus of tendons and Serie A at that time was notorious for steroid abuse.

Not saying AAS abuse is the cause of Havertz's injury, but putting on that amount of extra lean muscle mass in like 3 months is at least worthy of a single eyebrow raise.

RowJimmy Bit've bellend yeah, but was it really the challenge from Ugarte that caused his knee to collapse four days later or are people just making this up? It looked dirty but not exactly dangerous, and Havertz got up and played on.

Doc 3 months is still quite long and that would likely be if things go well you might be in contention and to get yourself back up to fitness and your performance level so could still be 4-5 months before we might have him available in the way we would like. Look at Saka,I don't think he showed his real level at any point for us after he returned last season and I think that's normal.

Eh, let’s not start baseless rumors, he’s an athlete who was in great shape already. Putting on a bit of muscle is very doable in two months if you stick to a strict training and diet regimen

Getting reinjured after a major layoff without impact training is fairly typical, need not have anything to do with his strength regime. That seemed like fluff and a few badly edited or selective photographs anyway, he's only carrying a few kilos.

Fingers crossed the injury isn't too bad, reports seem to hint it's not an ACL

Doubt its the muscle but we were all amazed how quickly he came back from that last injury. He probably should have take his time with it.
