Burnwinter I've aways thought of Timber and Calafiori as ticking bombs. Only a matter of time until the other knee goes too, and meanwhile they're gonna pick up a bunch of smaller, untimely injuries.
I know it sounds harsh, especially for Calafiori who I really like, but how many players have come back as good as they were from an ACL? Maybe half a dozen or so. How many have come back better? Only Ruud van Nistelrooy and Roberto Baggio in the history of the sport (and in Baggio's case the knees still plagued him throughout his career).
You might get another season or two out of them but it's inevitably going to end in tears. You better not be in a position where you're ever relying on these guys.
