Latest speculation seems to be that they caught it at a birthday party?

The main place to catch it is in supermarkets.

Have to agree with Captain. Having been feeling under the weather last few days I've literally just had a postivite covid test result come back today for myself. And I haven't been out of the house other than to do groceries for months now.

After almost two years I thought I managed to survive without catching it, but in the end it caught up with me.

Get well soon mate. Didn't you already have it or was that goon?

Insane to me that they're not required to be vaccinated.

Hope you're alright. Get well soon!

Cheers Est. Yeah feeling a bit better today. The night before last was the worst one. No fever but getting chills, legs feeling rubbery and hard to walk straight, whole body aching. Don't think I've ever been hit so hard with anything before.

Thanks mate. No, I've never had it before luckily. Thought I'd managed to either escape completely or had possibly caught it in the past without showing any symptoms.

Had you been vaccinated before contracting it, Wil?

Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery mate. I doubt you've got anything to worry about, but take care anyway.

Thanks mate. Yeah hopefully everything will be ok. Feeling a bit better now, just stuck in my room in bed. Thought it was just a cold at first but started really getting worried when I had no idea why my body was in so much pain and failing to do what I wanted it to do.

No mate, haven't been vaccinated yet. Was actually booked in to have mine done on the 27th. Not sure if I'll be allowed to take it still now that I'm currently infected. I'll give them a call on Monday.

Ouch. I got lucky and avoided the muscle pain meself. I remember the constant tiredness though, it was the main thing that set it apart from a normal cold aside from taste and smell temporarily disappearing.

My brother in law got infected last month and he had to postpone his first jab too. Different country and all, but they wanted him to have a positive antibody test before he booked a new appointment. Probably wise to check and see what the requirements are at your health center.

Feel well soon Big Willie. I would recommend avoiding the Arsenal tomorrow 😉

Cheers Rohit. Arsenal tomorrow might be pretty helpful. You know how for children getting an injection, you can pinch their other hand to make them not notice the pain of the needle, Arsenal could do the same haha.

Glad to hear yours didn't get too bad Klaus. I remember the night before last I went to the shops to get some paracetamol and I nearly collapsed a few times walking in the supermarket. It was so confusing and scary not knowing what's going on.

I think I started suspecting Covid when I started smelling this chemical smell, like you get after swimming in a pool with chlorine. Sprayed some perfume and whilst I could smell it it didn't seem as strong. Taste hasn't gone for me either but it does seem a bit duller.

Yeah, I'm not sure how the process is here tbh. I'll try phone up on Monday and see if they're happy for me to take it or not. That said I'm meant to self isolate for 10 days and the date of my original appointment will be like day 8 or 9 so might be a moot point anyways.

Arteta said there was no evidence of that. And it was one of Aubas kids birthday right? Not like some clubbing situation.

Good to see Partey back in training, hopefully be back for the weekend but would rather we eased him back in. Last season felt he was rushed back and even when he played didn't look right.

Absolutely. Take no chances, we need a good stretch of form from him. There is no way he should be straight back into the first XI without a couple of run outs as sub first.

He had a full pre-season pretty much and he's only been out about 3 weeks. If he's fit I'd play him and then take him off if you want to be cautious. I always think being subbed on is worse because you don't get to feel your way into the game etc.

We should be pretty much at full strength this weekend. Let's hope Arteta properly goes for it and showcases his vision for this side. No more wasters please.

Any word of Xhaka today? I know Arteta said it was a bad one after the game. Any further updates?

Sad for him, but because Arteta sees him as a starter no matter what he does we're strengthened from this unless more players go down in that period.

I'm no fan of Xhaka but do you genuinely think there is a better option in our squad right now?

Yes. Clearly every person who didn't want Xhaka to start on Sunday thinks that, or else it wouldn't make sense not to want him to start.
