Ronaldo after being asked about Pique's recent comments: "All I can say to him is that he should take a look at the beautiful pictures I've uploaded to Facebook and Instagram."

I love this rivalry. So intense.

This feels me with so much adrenaline.

The swiftness of it all, the accuracy, the beauty, the determination, the weight, the curve of the ball, absolutely precise to the finest degree.

I'm not joking when I say I've watched it about 50 times.

That's a stunning pass

But you need a cold shower.

I have a cold shower every single night.

Paco signs for Barca on his 23rd birthday, nice birthday gift.

Munir heads to Valencia on a 2 year deal, with an option to buy.

Barca have made some excellent signings. They've been reliant on being basically injury-free for years, now they have depth.

Similar to us in that sense.

Barca have had a fantastic window.

In: Umtiti/Gomes/Digne/Alacer/Cillessen/Suarez.
Out: Bravo/Bartra/Halilovic/Adriano/Alves/Montoya/Sandro/Song/Tello/Samper/Vermaelen/Munir.

Net Spend: £79m. At the same time keeping wages at a similar level.

9/10 window for them.

Yeah, except that they've had a brilliant starting XI that's been lacking depth. We've been lacking both.

I don't think much has changed for them personally. If any of their front three are out they're immediately much less effective regardless of whether they have good back up for Jordi Alba or whomever.

That goes without saying Ricky mate.

We're saying they are now better equipped to deal with strenuous periods in a season, whereas in previous seasons they would be playing players that aren't really ready and look uncomposed/frantic.

Suarez is injured? Paco slots in.
Neymar out? Gomes or Turan.
Alba needs a rest? Digne.

And the players that are going to fill in will do so seamlessly. The only exception is Messi, every player is a massive downgrade, but you do what you can, and they look to have done quite well.

Surprised Munir didn't make it.

 This guy doesn't know nearly as much as people think he knows.

Mesut made a similar volleyed throughball for us. Think Gerrard had an even better assist like this.

Umtiti is some player though. Think he'll be a key player for them inside a year or so. I would have killed to have him here.

11 days later

Shouldn't have rested so many important players at once... came back to bite them.

Raul Garcias goal in this match was brilliant.

Yeah, that was some strike

Credit to the Spanish FA for putting these match summaries and highlights up so quickly and in HD, other leagues would do well to follow suit

That pass from Suarez in the build up to the penalty is the part of his game that doesn't get highlighted enough - outrageous pass!

Barca 5 up now as I type this. Rafinha with a quality goal. Messi (twice), Saurez and Neymar with the others

Looks like James is about to cement his spot into the starting XI

His first start this season and you're talking about cementing his place?

'About to'. Can hardly have made his chances worse with that performance.

Ray Hudson is nuts. What a game by Barca - Messi looks faster than in the last 2 years.

Messi skill before playing in Suarez.. my lord.

Just watched it - insane pass.

Suarez record in his first 100 games at Barca is just amazing. Out of the world.

Madrids website congratulated BBC on reaching 300 goals, they did it in 3 seasons + 4 weeks into the 4th season.

Messi/Suarez/Neymar have got 250 goals in 2 seasons. So much better.

Messi 97, 46 assists
Suarez 91, 46 assists
Neymar 62, 31 assists

Nobody watching tonight? Quite look forward to Barcelona v Atletico.

Atleti look dangerous on the break and solid defensively

Yup, their game plan has worked perfectly so far. We could probably pull something like this off with Simeone as our manager.

Ronaldo scored 95 goals in his first 100 games at Real.

It's even more amazing that Suarez is so close to Ronaldo. People wrongfully compare Ronaldo to Messi while some don't even think Suarez is the best striker in the world.

He is the best striker in the world and all time great IMO.

I think assists wise they are miles apart.

Messi > Suarez > Lewandowski > Ronaldo

Ja?

He's still a diving piece of shit Suarez. Awful character. He's not a patch on a peak Ronaldo.
