I find it difficult to argue based on trophies alone and even if you did, they won the double in two of three seasons after and reached the CL semis every season, losing to the strongest side in Europe each time in the process. I've the displeasure of having to watch them pretty often and they've a much better squad now both in depth and peak strength.
Not sure about Heynckes' team being that exciting. They had a donkey workhorse in Mandzukic up front and were reliant on Ribéry (and Robben when he was fit) plus Martinez had a ridiculous season, Guardiola's teams had a lot more players delivering
