There really needs to be a column for 'took on half of the team all by himself and created a goal' for him.

This is such a typical Barca goal and yet everybody concede this type of goals against them.

The difference for us is that normally when the first pass comes through for us, player 1 will probably stop running and player 2 will proceed to pass it sideways.

Brilliant first half despite being goalless. The difference in technical quality compared to the two PL games today is staggering. Also, and I don't say this often, it has been a refereeing masterclass in the first half.

Casemiro looks head and shoulders above Nzonzi so far. If I could sign one defensive mid in the world I'd take him.

Casemiro was nowhere to be seen for Sevilla's winner though. I agree he's probably more what we need but Nzonzi is the better and more complete player imo.

Finally their streak ends, deservedly so too. What a manager Sampaoli is, thought he'd turn Sevilla into a hyperattacking side but he certainly knows how to coach defence too.

I like Casemiro as well. There was a chance to go for him when he was not favoured at the start. It's been one of Madrid's best signings despite being so low key.

Sampaoli is just something special.
