I like Crespo one a lot more. It is still one of my favourite final goals.
The turn by Kaka and then the subsequent pass is sublime. It is probably one of the passes of that decade. Weight, vision, accuracy is perfect. The finish was just icing on the cake. He made it looked incredibly easy but to chip that with your first touch takes some doing.
both seem equally brilliant goals. different.
Definitely the Crespo goal.

It's probably my most 'shared' goal with people, because of Kaka's play. He really should have had a better/longer career.
Personally I don't think the Barca goal is anywhere near Crespo's.
Ronaldinho and Kaka though. Unbelievable players.
I think Ronaldinho's pass was harder to pull off.
How obvious was Kaka's pass? It didn't require god like vision and speed of thought, make no mistake about that. Crespo's run was alright, nothing out of the ordinary. Those runs would typically be met with a high ball over the top. Kaka decided to play it on the deck and it was perfectly executed. Defence-splitting.
Ronaldinho's pass requires more vision than Kaka's. At the exact moment Guily makes his move, as soon as he jinks and I mean the EXACT second, Ronaldinho acts.
It's as top level as you can get. Ronaldinho's mind is made up as soon as Guily starts to lean forwards to begin his run.
It was quick-thinking, it was bright and it was something done which has stuck with me from the moment he did it. Breathtaking stuff.
Another thing that makes it so special is that he's flat footed and Guily is at a 90 degree angle.
I'm not too worried about the runs and finishes, but Ronaldinho's pass makes Barcelona's goal more delightful for me.
Kaka's turn and pass is the type that Laudrup could pull off. Maybe Bergkamp and Pirlo. I can't think of many others. It's top class. He single-handedly turns the whole game around too. Ronaldinho's pass is great too but half of it is about the run from Guily. It can be rehearsed to a degree. The Crespo goal is just one moment of pure genius followed by a moment of even greater genius. And then a nice dink over the top with the outside of the boot from Crespo for good measure.
What's actually underrated about Ronaldinho there is his strength. Gattuso just bounces off him. I'm going have to vote for Crespo's goal as well, the whole move from defence to attack was as good it gets.
I like this as a recurring thread idea.

And Robert Pires?
Good idea for a thread.
Kaka to Crespo by far for me, that's one of the goals of the last decade.
Thierry Henry vs Real Madrid
George Weah vs Verona
Henry. Better opposition, bigger occasion, away from home, and not the finishing touch in a 4-1 trouncing.
Henry vs Inter or Spurs are probably better comparisons to that Weah goal too, both would also be better goals than Weah's imo.
edit: Actually not Henry vs Inter, I though he had picked up the ball deeper.

I knew I saw a very similar pass somewhere! Honestly in terms of technique and slide rule passing, that kind of trajectory is what Pires is excellent at. He can somehow make the ball curve right in front of the defender at the last minute. It's honestly a very very difficult pass to pull off which is why I rate Kaka's effort so highly.

For starters we are comparing goals so the finishing at the end will always edge me for me.
No doubt Ronaldinho + Giuly combi was good, but how often have we seen something like that from Barca? It's bread and butter stuffs for them, that little ball over the top from Xavi to Messi/Villa.
Anyway for the 2nd comparison, it's always unfair to put an Arsenal player there because it will definitely be favoured In all seriousness though, Henry. No comparison.
i gave point to ronaldinho as he had to ward of gattuso too.
and we're comparing goals i thought not the kaka vs ronaldinho passes. Giuly's finish was tougher. overall, both goals great with great points in both equally for me.
When I feel particularly annoyed with the crap state of football, like during the abysmal Euros for instance, then a Laudrup compilation pretty much always brings me up. Best passer ever as far as I'm concerned.

Probably better to compare the Henry vs Spurs goal to that Weah goal.
Fat chance anyone at an Arsenal forum is going to rate that goal as lesser than pretty much any other goal you can put up for comparison.
The Weah goal is better than Henry vs Real Madrid.
