According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal are close to securing the signature of Mauro Icardi.

Talks between the club and the striker's agent have reportedly gathered pace, and a deal could be completed in the next 72 hours.

The Italian newspaper claim that Arsenal are lining up a bid in the region of €45-50m (£37.6-£41.8m) while offering Icardi wages up to £96,500-a-week.
