I'm all for a rule that makes it possible to suspend players for the rest of the season in cases like this. Only way to weed out that behaviour. There are people who'll argue that football is a contact sport and you'll damage its underlying principles with extreme punishments, but when you enable people like Taylor at the expense of people like Coleman you've already lost.

Give him 6-10 games. Won't be as long as his victim, but should teach him a lesson. Some of these leg breaks are accidental, but this was wild and reckless play. MMA tendencies.

When it's happened to us it's all been "he's a nice lad," "not that sort of player," "hasn't got a bad bone in his body," "part of the game," "Arsenal's Jonny foreigners don't like it up em," "stop moaning Wenger it's a contact sport" etc etc. Be interesting to see the reaction this time it's a guy from a home nation who plays for a northern working class club.

They really need to get rid of some of these commentators who are as thick as shit. The amount of times I hear them claim a foul wasn't intenTional hence it wasn't a foul or a yellow etc is shocking. They're all dinosaurs who know nothing about the modern game.

Hope Coleman makes a full recovery.

I never watch any club games not involving Arsenal as I just can't be bothered, so I've only seen him playing for England, which granted is not always the best indication of how good a player is. But is anyone able to tell me what Dele Alli is actually supposed to be good at? Commentators describing him as "the first name on the England team sheet" etc and I'm struggling to see why.

Apparently it's a qualifying system for UEFA 2020. "Apparently" because I genuinely couldn't be bothered to read the whole thing, Wenger really did a number on me this season

The team sheet is done in alphabetical order.

He's actually a very good mobile forward. I'd have him at our team. He's better than anyone not named Ozil or Sanchez in our frontline. He gets in good goal-scoring positions, is willing to take people on, and surprisingly good in the air. Of course he's overrated just because he's English, but he's a good player.

The only thing I don't like about him is the savage side of his game. He's a bit rough and petty, but I don't know if that is his character or a Spurs flaw.
