capitulation by West Ham. Awful stuff. Spurs are the worst.

Bilic is fucking useless.

Yeah, watching those last five minutes by West Ham made me really fucking annoyed.

That's an amazing effort 😆

Gareth Southgate has been named as permanent England manager:

What do you English blokes think about this?

I don't think this is a bad choice personally. England need someone youngish who's willing to build a team. They've tried the opposite already, and Capello didn't work, Hodgson didn't work. Appointing a dinosaur like Allardyce after those two was the worst thing they could have done.

He seems a decent choice based on the last few games. I don't know if he'll really chance much but he seems sensible in his squad selection.

Four years?

Seems like a sensible bloke so far but not that it matters, it'll end in tears like it always does.

It's been more than 50 years since we won anything so, understandably, the role has lost it's glamour.
I don't about others but nobody i know really cares that much about the England team and, even less, the manager.

Doesn't really matter at this point does it? He'd have to be a catastrophic failure to not qualify for the World Cup/Euros and the talent level in the English side has fallen so drastically in the past 5-10 years that it's unlikely even an elite manager could win a trophy. Would be nice to see to see a manager brought in that would really challenge the FA to revamp the youth system/culture in England but I suppose Southgate is at least better than retreads like Allardyce or Steve Bruce

Four years is longer than his league management career ironically.

Enzo Zidane scores 18 minutes into his first-team debut for Real Madrid:

Good genes.

I just watched the United highlights. Ibrahimovic looked stellar tonight unfortunately. Really don't like that he's getting into gear.

I'm sure his performance against an average West Ham side in the league cup quarters will make all premiership defenders shit their pants at the propect of playing against him.

Nevermind West Ham. He has scored 11 and assisted 3 now for a United side that is roughly half as good as the rest of the top sides in the country. It's practically identical to Alexis's numbers this season. If they start doing the basics right it will be bad news for us.

Too much zidane resemblance.  Body shape, running style etc. Just needs to go bald.

Was that game played in slow motion?

What nonsense is this.

It's probably not that bad an idea if it goes into a knockout phase after that. The worst thing about extending the world cup was that you were going to end up with a ridiculous number of tedious group games but this prevents that.

Ronaldo wins balon'dor. So not bothered. Messi is ten goals ahead this season, he'll probably win next year.

Ronaldo or Messi winning has become about as predictable as us drawing Barca or Bayern in the ECL!

Who gives a fuck ZzZzzzzZzzzZzZzZzZzZzzzZZZzzz etc

How good is Isak Alexander? Apparently the biggest young talent in Sweden, only 17 and has scored a bunch of goals for his club already at first team level. Dubbed the new Zlatan and apparently close to signing for Chelski.

Should Arsenal go after him?

I don't think I've ever heard anyone call him the new Zlatan domestically. The guy's good, probably sticking out a bit because of the poor state of Swedish football. I don't think he's a world class talent though. If he does anything at all in Europe it'll be years from now. He might be worth gambling on but I doubt he's gonna be an Arsenal level player. When Zlatan broke through, by contrast, everyone knew that he was going to be one of the handfull best players on the planet in the future. It was so obvious.

I actually think Jordan Larsson (that's Henrik Larsson's son) looks like a better talent all things considered. He seems destined for Feyenoord at the moment though.

Kashima Antlers take the lead against Real Madrid's strongest lineup.

Cheers mate.

The ref has bottled it. Ramos stopped a counter, a clear yellow. Ref was going to give yellow, realised it was Ramos who was on a yellow he pretended to put the card back.

Neville has been so amazingly shit at Valencia that not just Ayestaran but now Prandelli too were fired after him.

To be fair to him the root of all evil is Peter Lim. It's quite incredible how you can take a regular CL side, pump a couple dozen million into it (read: Mendes' pockets) and turn them into relegation battlers

never felt/feel the need to be fair to neville.

Hitchin Town have sacked the semi-professional footballer Alfie Barker over offensive comments sent on Twitter to the Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter about his stillborn daughter.

The Football Association will investigate the tweets sent from an account in Barker’s name, which were targeted at Arter after Arsenal came from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 at Bournemouth on Tuesday.

twitter giving voice to yet more pond scum.

That's absolutely distasteful. Why would anyone make fun of that? Vile.

Went undercover to the Chelsea match on Sunday with my cousin's club level tickets. God it was hard to keep a straight face when Terry got his red, the fucking twat.

Fabregas is an unbelievably lazy player, glad he left when he did.

I'm delighted he got sacked. I hope someone gives him a good slap too.

Another ridiculous Fifpro team. I could smell it in the nominations that rewarded irrelevant Barcelona and Real Madrid players, and that was reflected in the final selection.
To top it all off: Griezmann didn't even make the team of the year despite his top 3 nomination.

The goal of the year though... Stunning.

Which irrelevant Real Madrid players are you talking about in the final selection?
