They were both useless going forward, but Diaby actually put in some good tackles(one Vieira-like sliding challenge comes to mind) and won the ball a few times by using his big frame to muscle Huddersfield players off the ball. Denilson, in addition to getting caught on his heels twice and letting players just run through our midfield, played a 'brilliant' backpass right to the feet of a Huddersfield striker and got bullied off the ball in midfield on a few occasions.

I may have not caught everything Diaby did wrong, but I'm sure his mistakes weren't as blatantly shocking as those of Denilson. His marking for the goal was atrocious, mind.

Yeah, both him and Denilson were appalling.

Diaby made less mistakes but he also did less of anything else. He was walking for most of the game, was out of position for most of the game and basically was just getting a run out to improve his fitness.

I think 4 pints is good going.

Depending on how much i've eaten, I don't like to have more than 3.

2 is usually fine for me.

I do like a nice cold beer on a hot day though.

I'm terrible with beer. As soon as I have one I can feel the effect, two and I get a little tipsy, three and I'm pushing it.....

I'm not THAT into alcohol. So when my mate orders a bourbon on the rocks it's a standard pint for me. I could do rum and cokes or possibly a cocktail if it's that sort of night but nothing's better than a good old pint or two, then that's it.

Xcdude was saying how he quite liked the pub culture here.

I'm still surprised by the extent of the impact of Fabregas' introduction today. And, really, all he did to make a difference was pass the ball forward towards the attackers. We don't expect our 2nd string to be cohesive, but they really need to show more purpose than what we saw especially between the 30th and 60th minute of this game.

Any of you planning on going to Leyon? I'm guessing it's going to be absolute hell trying to get a ticket, considering how small their ground is.

And pub culture is absolutely awesome. Dive bars are probably as close to pubs as we have, but the gap in quality is worlds apart.

There's some things I miss about London. Living in one of the world's great cities is definitely one of them, and it's great not having to drive if you want to do anything. Obviously being able to see us in person is what I miss the most- going to most games last year, then having to come back and watch every game by myself on the TV/my computer is difficult. The weather, on the other hand, was absolutely horrible. Today was the first time it's rained in a month, and we had about two week strech where the temperature was between 20 and 25.

I'm going. Got 14 credits, but i don't think that'll be enough. My uncle should be able to sort me a ticket though. No way i'm missing that one.

I love London life. From the hustle and bustle, to the pubs, to the music venues, and of course, the Arsenal. Living in the Midlands is handy being able to get to aways, but christ, it's incredibly dull in comparison.

Yeah i'm a Londoner but many peeps (from outside the M25) at uni thought London was basically shit.

To each his own.

Would love to visit New York to compare. I know their cuisine/restaurant culture is miles ahead of ours for a start.

No Arsenal mind.

True, Toni, about the restaurant/cuisine culture. London's is fairly under-developed versus America's big cities like New York and Chicago. Even Portland, a northwestern backwater that I frequent, probably has a better restaurant scene than London. But yes, London has Arsenal, which is why I'd love to live there soon.

Well it's improving quite a lot. The French and New Yorkers don't laugh at it anymore. It's just still not as good and the culture in NY is better. Over there you go out to eat. Over here it's more of an occasion.

Oh, I drove into the South San Francisco Bay this morning and stopped to have a remarkable breakfast: hashbrowns topped with sautéed mushrooms and spinach with two poached eggs, melted swiss cheese and lemon hollandaise, with black forest ham. I actually want to drive back and stuff my face again.
