Real finish their game brilliantly. Score two late goals just as Joel Campbell came on for Sporting

So... Joel Campbell traded being a sub at Arsenal to be a sub at Sporting Lisbon? Fakarraheer!

Campbell played a full 90 mins or so a game or two back. He's getting minutes, though with Ox' form I wonder how many minutes he could get here?!

Yeah, but being put on the bench when you're team is playing Real Madrid isn't encouraging.

Watching the Leicester City - Club Brugges game. Leicester looked good. Amazing that none of the coaches at Bruge bothered to read the scouting report on Vardy. He was able to get into wide open spaces with nobody watching him and limited pressure on the guys giving throughballs. Second best outing from an English team this week.

Slimani is the real star.

Can't believe they found any good striker this easily.

Come on dortmund!!!!

Real Madrid under real pressure in the first dozen minutes. Being pressed in their half of the field and experienced players like Bale making rookie errors in dangerous areas. The child Dembele looks like the real deal. How does Wenger miss out on folks like this?

Leicester really pushing Porto. Looking for their 2nd goal.

I think Islam Slimani will prove to be an outstanding signing for them. Lad's got goals in him.

Dortmund are fun to watch. Their defense is very suspect but the speed and intensity at which they attack is superb.

Tuchel's team play such attractive football. Very unlucky to be behind.

They're not behind  🙂

1-1 gwan little Dortmund.

Dembele with a little bit of refinement will be a world class player.

Gotze was a bullet dodged. Been the weakest link in the Dortmund team.

Definitely. Makes me sad thinking how Oxlade-Chamberlain once looked as promising.

Emre Mor, Guerreiro, Pulisic, Dembele, Ginter, Wiegl. Very impressive array of young talents from Dortmund.

Just watched a summary from yesterday and Son was annoyingly good again. I've always liked him and hated that he went to Spurs.

I think he'll kick on from here and establish himself as a top player. It's been in the making for years.

Anyone underestimating spurs is making a big mistake IMO. They are top 4 material IMO.

BTW saw Guerreiro for the first time since the euros. Whoa! silky!

That Carrasco goal for Atletico was sexy!

Spurs are annoying.

Man City 3 - 3 Celtic
Kudo 1 -3 PSG
Napoli 4- 2 Benfica
Atletico 1- 0 Bayern
Barca 2- 1 Gladbach

At. Madrid beat Bayern.

Are the big three in football now Madrid, At. Madrid and Barcelona?

This will finally be the year when we top our group, but end up playing Bayern.

Nah, when we top the group it means we'll lose to Monaco

We finished 2nd that year too, Monaco topped their group.

Think it's got be Juve, outside of Barcelona and Real they might now have the best team. Dybala-Higuain is probably the best frontline outside of Barca-Real. Imagine upgrading your team by selling Pogba for ridiculous fee... lucky bastards.

Also interesting they don't get mentioned as much along with Bayern when it comes to being accused of weakening rivals, but beside hoarding all the best young talents in Italy for years now they are taking other teams star players as well. Pjanic and Higuain in one summer from two potential rivals is ridiculous.

If the first round ended last night, we would face one of

  • Besiktas
  • Copenhagen
  • Sevilla
  • Bayern
  • Real Madrid

If we were down in second, our options would be

  • Napoli
  • Barca
  • Monaco
  • Dortmund
  • Atletico
  • Juventus

40% chance of a tough team if we finish 1st. Over 80% chance of tough team if we finish 2nd. It is vital we finish 1st

That's 100% tough teams we'd face if the round ended like this and we were in second, bar the thrashing at Nice's hands they've made short work of every team they faced this season and Napoli look even stronger than last season. With a point won in Paris already we absolutely have to finish 1st

Jesus Christ, what a fucking save by Buffon!

That Lemina bloke needed a red card for his ridiculous facial hair alone.

Deflection from nine yards and he still whips it over. Once in a lifetime keeper.

Buffon rolling back the years.

Was that on purpose by Cuadrado?!

It was. Cheeky as fuck!

It looked like he meant it:

I can't lie, I love watching the bloke play. He's an artist. No wonder Mourinho nearly destroyed him.

I like him too.
Lyon have been Buffoned here.

Buffon is the greatest keeper in the history of the game.

Alex Sandro makes Nkoulou look like a pub player.
