What better way than to start the thread with the news that Brendan Rodgers has guided Celtic to defeat against a semi-pro side Lincoln Red Imp from fucking Gibraltar in CL qualifying in his first competitive game in charge.

And those poor Scots were pretty much unequivocally against brexit. I guess Brentan didn't get the memo.

Well European nights in mid-July are only ever memorable for the wrong reasons and no Celtic fan will be forgetting this one in a hurry. Humbled by a side of part-timers from Gibraltar, a country with a population half the size of Celtic Park.

The Brendan Rodgers era begins in ignominious fashion with arguably the worst result in the club's history. He will want to limit the damage with a convincing victory in the second leg at Parkhead next Wednesday to see Celtic through to the next round.

πŸ˜† What a fucking lemon.

Aparently Gibraltar has an area of 6.7 km2. πŸ˜†

Brilliant. Presumably there are some jokes about population and Brexit etc in there.

The @LincolnRedImps Twitter account hasn't been updated yet. As their social media guy was marking the captain of Scotland.

The Imps' left-back was driving a taxi until 1pm today apparently. A colossal humiliation for Celtic

What they should have done is target the left wing.
Start by getting through customs then past the civil servant and the shipping agent and you are through to the police officer.

"Brendan Rodgers claims Celtic's 'worst ever result' is not an embarrassment": http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/14614577.Brendan_Rodgers_claims_Celtic__39_s__quot_worst_ever_result_quot__is_not_an_embarrassment/

When asked whether there were red faces in the dressing room, the Celtic manager said: "No. There is obviously disappointment. We understand where we want to get to and what we want to achieve.

β€˜But there is no embarrassment. It was a tough game in tough conditions. We didn’t take our chances, they took their chance. The second leg will be different.

"Why not embarrassed? Because it’s over two legs. It’s a two-legged affair.

"It's a two-legged affair." πŸ˜†

This. Is. Just. Not. Possible.

What a glorious day it's going to be in work with the Celtic fans!

I thought about whether they meant one of his brothers but they specified not centre back or left winger but striker Lee Casciaro. πŸ˜†

The Casciaro family seems to be about a quarter of the population πŸ˜†

I wonder if Brendan's decided what names go into the envelope yet

a month later

City has gone away to Steaua and win 5-0 there. Mind you, Aguero missed 2 penalties as well. The attacking football on display was amazing.

Grabbed a few of them in case they get deleted (is there a way to embed tweets?):

More like a butt hurt little bitch.

Thats how i saw it too. Got slammed 5-0 they should shut their ass up

Didn't know Becali got out of jail. He'll probably be back in the cell soon enough after killing the responsible staff

Totally deserved for being cheap, gullible and stupid.
Instead of paying proper money for a professional job, they cut a deal with a bunch of blokes they knew nothing about and don't even bother checking up on their "work".

Haha also brilliant. Wish more shit like that happened here.

Wow, what an epic prank. πŸ˜†

Just showed that to a Slavic colleague who's forwarding it straight on to all his Romanian mates. Complete ownage.

Indeed. Another example of complete ownage was City's dominance last night. They played some extraodinarily beautiful football. The trio of Silva/Aguero/De Bruyne had that invincible flair about them throughout. I do wonder if Pep will try to sneak in Fabregas if a move to Serie A fails there. They still need one more central midfielder who can uphold the value of tiki-taka, particularly with Gundogan still on the sidelines.

I look at the energy that each of Guardiola, Klopp, Conte and even the demon Mourinho have brought to their sides, and I feel like slapping the Arsenal fan who yesterday wrote on my facebook wall "But there's nobody out there who can replace Wenger!"
