Chelsea will tonk Hull, so our hope has to be in Liverpool beating them and running them ragged five or so days prior to us playing them....perhaps a slew of red cards too.

Liverpool, I think is chelsea's bogey team. Even at their strongest and pool's weakest I remember chelsea being given a tough time by liverpool.

These things are always skewed to give whatever point you're trying to make, whether it's to change it from top 4 to top 6 or top 7 or changing it altogether to the 'big 4' rather than the top 4. Take the table above, Chelsea look like they've done great, but restrict it to the top 4 and you'd have this:

Liverpool 7
Tottenham 5
Arsenal 4
Chelsea 0

Also take this from mid Feb last season

Of course, this was a table to beat City with with rather than us, hence why you're not seeing a different version that is less favorable to us.

How we are the only team with a game in hand? Unless it's done on who is top 7 at the time which would be daft

Because there are an odd number of teams who have played an odd number of games vs each other.

At one point all seven teams had played 6 games vs each other. Then three pairs of two would have played a round vs each other.

So next, everyone will have played 8 games, then 9 (with one on 8 ), then everyone on 10, then 11 (with one on 10) then the season ends with us all having played 12 games vs each other.

P.S: I've just seen that Liverpool play Chelsea on the 31st and I'm pretty sure we play Chelsea soon after that.....this is the time where they can be caught otherwise forget about it.

We won't catch Chelsea. Don't do this to yourselves again. Wenger no longer has it in himself to deliver this league. We would most likely end up looking over our shoulders than looking ahead.

It depends on our football. I'm hoping the introduction of Welbeck and Lucas to the squad will enable us to play with the intensity we were playing with during the first few months of the season. If we keep dragging out results like we have for the past 5-6 games, then it'll be a repeat of last season, where even if we do manage to get close to the leader at one point, we'll eventually slip up.

It's like chasing a woman who has cancelled on you multiple times, and deluding yourself that she was just busy, and next time she'll see you.
