So who would you guys like to see as a starting striker next season? I have put some options that are in play. Morata and Icardi have been linked to Arsenal. Lukaku's team is talking him up. Gonzalo and Aubameyang hve not been officially touted, but the former is attracting interest everywhere and the latter is a Dortmund player. They sell.

I put the figures as per 90 to normalize for Morata's benchtime. Find it interesting that his creativity is off the charts, but he just isn't shooting enough. Would he automatically come to Arsenal and find a way to create more shots for himself? Or will he always be a low volume, high yield guy?

With the current team that we have - Ozil, Sanchez, Iwobi, Walcott, Xhaka, Wilshere, Ramsey, etc., which striker would best fit us?

went with auba

morata/higgy a tied second

IMO PEA would suit IF we reverted to the same style we played with TH & Co,
however I voted for Higuain in relation to this current possession based style where AW wants the CF to also play a linking role.

IIRC Statsbomb had a table where Higuain came out on top for goals scored and assists per 90 for the 4 seasons prior to his move & at the time we looked to sign him.

Higuain easily

The PEA Henry comparisons are only because they are both black and fast. Not even joking Aubameyang as a footballer is closer to Usain Bolt than Henry

Yeah, he can't dribble for shit. He's fast and can finish, he's what Walcott should have been

There are no Henrys in world football right now.

I went with Aubameyang but it was very close with Higgy. Not that pushed on Icardi or Morata.

My football knowledge on the likes of the Icardis of this world is sorely lacking. Even Higuain and Morata in recent years as I've slipped more and more away from football in general. Need to try and see a bit more of what all the fuss is about.

Auba/Higgy then Lukaku then Icardi then Morata

I went for Morata because he's young, and I don't know much about Icardi. For squad management and financial reasons my view is we should get a player who isn't pushing thirty like Higuaín. Think Higuaín would be a pricy short term proposition in our more physical league, whereas Morata would either make it or have significant resale value.

Sort of how I see it as well. Would still have Aubameyang first though, but I can't see any scenario where that could happen.

I'd go for Aubameyang though I don't think he's a sure thing either, just one prolific season. Morata is a close second though and then Higuain.

Don't know anything about Icardi and I just don't want Lukaku period.

I agree.

i hate higuain and icardi.
i dont really buy the morata hype
i dobt think auba would come here since real turned his head
i want ibra

The best fit is Higuain, but Icardi would be an interesting choice here. He has the best shots/goals ratio out of the five mentioned and has had to deal with the likes of Ivan Perisic feeding him the ball. Let Ozil feed balls to him and he will score boatloads. He does have the opposite of Morata though, tends to struggle in big games (besides vs. Juventus).

Another positive is that he's basically been excluded with Argentina: http://www.football-italia.net/84035/icardi-argentina-learn-italy

“In Argentina I'm not a goal-scorer, I'm just the guy who stole Wanda from his friend [Maxi Lopez]. But I didn't do that. I was just his teammate, no less than I am with another 25 people every year. We had a meal together, that's it. If he doesn't take care of his wife and she decides to join me...

😆 What a massive piece of shit, makes it sound like a club transfer

He's quality though, he'd love to play with Özil as he's always trying to get on the end of things. Not a greedy dickhead like Kane or Sturridge either

Icardi seems the type of cunt who would leave us the second Real or Barca come calling.

As for what striker fits us most: Aubameyang without a shadow of a doubt. Signing him is a pipe dream though.

Icardi already left Barcelona and he's already been pretty loyal to Inter considering they've not even made the Cl for a while and he must've had quite a few offers when he banged in 27 goals last season.

Left them as a kid. Cesc did so too and ended up going back there.
