The Team News and Tickets guy says we want Jorrel Hato in January. He's 17 year old CB/LB who has been one of Ajax's better players so far this season. He'll only have 18 months left on his contract in January. Reminds me of the Saliba situation where we went after him after his first half-season of first team football where he was one of St. Etienne's best players at 17/18 years old. Seems interesting.

since the news came out that osimhens new contract has a release clause is 130m euros, our names have been mentioned quite a bit as being intereseted. it's noted that it is a suarez style 'gentlemans' release clause, and I except napoli to be far from gentleman with us if we try to buy him

Okay, that was more houseboat than I expected. Basically he's saying that we want a defender with the best attributes of all our defenders (who wouldn't?), and this other golf guy is saying that Hato is that defender.

It is true that this is some Mr. X style cryptic nonsense which is why I posted it here, but I should point out that the bulletpoints spell out "HATO".

I've seen the golf guy pop up a few times on my timeline recently but don't know for sure how reliable he is. Team News guy responding directly to him does possibly add some credibility?

Buying a shit hot young defender with 18 months to run is exactly the type of deals I want to see the club doing. I don't know enough about Hato but seen a few Ajax fans rave about him.

Which is why I am not so keen on Palhinha, great player but we've done an outstanding job in recent years at getting the average age of the squad down when making bigger money signings and want to see us keep up with that.

We must prioritise winning now when the Winter window opens. I think next season is going to be really tough. Not sure Hato would provide immediate depth, among several potential reasons because I suspect Ajax would want him loaned right back for the rest of the season.

Think I said it few months back that Solanke is an upgrade on Nketiah but wouldn't want to go near him. What's the point of signing squaddies like these? We need someone to move the needle. Solanke ain't gonna win you the league

Was hoping we’d keep watch on Billings, Semenyo next 3/4 windows for depth. Haven’t caught Solanke as much this season.

KingslandBarge he's having a great season but I wouldn't want to sign him based on a bit of good form. Don't really think he's much of an upgrade on Nketiah. He flopped pretty badly at Liverpool.
