Hope Wolves sign him as Neto's replacement. The few RM supporters I know are surprised they'll get money for him.

Surprised if/that he's an option considering that he's not good on the ball aside from the occasional banger and that he doesn't press. Two players as different as Neto or him don't make sense as alternatives.

I see where you’re coming from Ray. Certainly has good ability to make the play. I’d say he’d be more of an alternative to Odegaard though. Very versatile

We’re not signing Asensio to play centrally (as an 8 like Odegaard or Xhaka)

He would be here just to back up Saka

Be interesting to see how he’d do. He’s got goals and assists a plenty, and his overall game is slightly underrated. But I don’t see him offering the work rate or build up play we want from our wings. He’s marginal at pressing and isn’t great defending or building up play whole deep.

Doubt we’re in for him.

Of course, it's much easier to score from short range. That goes for long shot merchants as well.

I don't think Clrnc meant that he's literally immune to scoring if he gets a chance inside five meters, but that his only main strength nowadays is long shots. But what do I know, maybe he meant something else entirely.

Read that Saka has played more than Michael Owen had at the same age. Compounded by the fact Martinelli plays a very demanding game, absolutely need a response to Pépés loan by adding depth for rotation. Have lots of
excitement and generally trust for Smith-Rowe and Nketiah. Then its a tall order for Marquinhos and Nelson is out for a while. Even a loan option would be welcomed.

Big week for us. We definitely need a winger (this is non-negotiable after Pepe's departure) and probably a CM as well but I could live without one.

Tielemans would be nice though - I suspect he's after a payday and he absolutely should be as well. I never understand why footballers willingly transfer their value to a football club. If I were Tielemans, I'd play another season for Leicester and hopefully put on a show at the WC before moving for free next summer. Net himself a nice sign-on bonus and sign a short-ish contract. Maybe 3 years? Then rinse and repeat. This is 100% what I'd do if I were a footballer.

Pursue and sign Pepe over Zaha, offload Pepe on loan a few underwhelming years later, and sign a not much improved Zaha to replace him. That's a ridiculous story and I can't see the club doing it. I would hope given the good (incoming) business we've done of late that it's just rumours.

Saw something elsewhere and Petit talks about neediung verticality from the midfield to get the ball to the forwards quicker. As such Tielemens would fit that criteria, but I wonder if a #b/DLP is now a higher priority looking forward.
