Pino is a full-back playing as a winger who is still very raw. Not sure why we're after him.

Electric is a good word to describe him, but Mané was a stone cold killer in front of goal, and also had movement in the box like an elite striker. I don't see that in this guy's game.

Above 30 million is way too high for Tielemans for sure. Hence thought part player swap of Maitland-Niles could suit all parties. If for any reason the club chooses not to go for him this window, the context definitely changes; it would be wise then to factor what Lokonga shows from the campaign. The other rumoured midfield names of late are encouraging, just can't be falling heroically short.

At this stage, it looks like there's nothing else in the works so I'll definitely take him. Would be a wonderful addition to the squad and will reduce the amount of Xhaka I'd have to see this season. Less Xhaka is good for Arsenal.

I am leaning your way Dules. It's not that Tielemans isn't a good player, and it's not even that I have someone better in mind, but I'm just not sure how much he'd improve our XI. And I think Smith Rowe and Vieira playing as one of the 8s, along with Ødegaard, might be the next evolution in the way we set up.

Tielemans would improve our squad in a big way though, I agree with Flo there.

I'm thinking I'd like to see us identify a big talent to challenge and eventually take over from Partey on the 6 role - someone that is the perfect for there, and trust a combo of Xhaka and the two talented kids to play that left 8 role.

Is it the 25 year old winger who hasn't gotten a cap for Brazil yet and scores less than Martinelli in a way worse league? Or have I got the wrong one, I just tried to look for him on Wiki.

It seems we are heading in a different direction with the midfield. Definitely would prefer a better ball carrier and/or someone who is more dynamic. Paqueta, SMS or a punt on Fofana would be preferable in my mind.

If it’s an alternative for Partey go for that guy at Brighton.
