Neto is fantastic but not productive enough in the final third. That said he's young and that part of his game might develop but we already have young wingers in that category so would like something different.

Have seen zero of Fofana but plenty of folks on this forum seem to rate him so there must be something about him.

Good signs though - CM and winger. Add this to what we've already done and this will go down as one of the best windows in recent memory.

I youtubed him for 5 mins when his name cropped up the other day and did not like what I saw. Didn't like what I saw of his close control, speed or balance for the type of player he is.

What's the point of targetting kids like this guy? I thought the whole "problem" is that we have youth players with tons of potential who aren't in their prime yet.

Agreed. Especially when you have Marquinhos on that right flank too. I get that there are different 'levels' to youth prospects, but I see very little merit in buying someone of that profile and price tag right now unless they're a dead cert world class talent who will instantly add something.

Think I would rather just stick with Pepe if we can't get someone on the Raphinha level. He will get a lot more games now we are in Europe.. Options out there aren't great right now.

Pino is a massive talent, don't know who you guys are comparing him to when the guy's born in 2002 (more than a full year younger than Saka), played 80 games for Villarreal, started and won a EL final, full international for Spain etc.

Wouldn't want him here as a winger but I reckon he'd make a brilliant full back down the line.

Yeah, he has fullback level technique and balance from what I could gather, but even considered as a fullback prospect he'd lack the speed needed to get me excited.

if we're getting a winger, there's no point paying megabucks for a project player no matter how gifted. this rebuild project is further down the line than that. I assumed the whole premise was to bring in a first 11 calibre winger to maximise our potency up front. otherwise don't bother and let martinelli/esr/marquinhos continue to develop

Have seen us 'linked' to Tonali. Although Milan have said earlier that he is not for sale, however it is reported an offer for around 50m could see them prepared to do business to purchase 2 players on their target list.
