Yep - 3 more slots need strengthening - striker, left attacker and centre mid.
HOUSEBOAT - Warning: tenuous links ahead!
Ramsey Xhaka swap deal.
Houseboat rumours out there. Would you take it?
Easily.
Would rather McKennie.
Absolutley no to Ramsey. He's past it.
At least he used to be it, unlike Xhaka.
That doesn't help much now.
He's still twice the player. I'd happily take the 20-25 games we'll get out of an injury-prone Ramsey each season over the 40 games worth of horseshit we'll get out of Xhaka.
Big no to Ramsey. It would be peak Arsenal to sign an injury prone 30 year old midfielder for £300k a week on a 4 year deal.
No to Ramsey and no to Jovic.
If it meant getting rid of Xhaka, I would take Ramsey back. We wouldn't be paying anywhere near £300k a week for him.
Age-wise he wouldn't stop the pathway for our talented young CMs and he can't be expecting to start every game with his injury history. He is a goal-scoring midfielder and hopefully being around him, Emile and Martin can learn a few things to add to their game.

This.
Only a complete idiotic club will not get rid of Xhaka unless they add Ramsey.
Thoughts on En-Nesyri. Lot of links. Looks dynamic but I’m not sure he’s a rounded enough player
Lots of continued links
Not good enough. Flakey player. Everton West Ham standard at most.

Agreed, but that's not what we're saying. Similarly I don't really want Ramsey, let alone his wages.
Arteta would never go for Ramsey the Anti-Tactics Man.
It's quite sad that Ramsey evolved the way he did into a goal hanging CMINO (CM in name only). When he started, one of his great abilities was to know exactly when to drop off, when to support his partner and play behind the ball with the occasional late run into the box. Even the second half of that 2012-13 season when he and Arteta formed a really good midfield pairing and he couldn't seem to hit a barn door with a banjo, his positional awareness was exemplary. Those 6 months of getting on a scoring run really changed him.
Spot on. I maintain to this day its all because of that modeling/PR agency he hired at the end of the 13/14 season. Guess it's a British thing, their Stevie Me genes eventually always come through
