Not seen much of him, but I do like what I see, especially his aggression defensively. He also looks like he will be one poweful mofo when he fills out. In the videos I've watched he seems wuite reluctant or to rarely try to beat his man on the outside - is that accurate?

Thanks jones. Would be particularly quality to have a player ready to kick-on given we're likely to extend our handicap in the next fortnight. If he could work in the build up like Monreal used to, even better.

Wonder if we could do a loan with option with Barca for Emerson Royal? They aren't in a great way and considering they have options there might be open to it.

Not with Laporta there, academy products will be at the very heart of what he is trying to build around. They'll only sell if they don't extend their contracts. Barca have a two year option on Pedri but not sure what the situation is with Fati.

Looking a his compilation videos, I have to say he looks a player.

No standout highlights, just a very consistent first touch, really quick, able to beat players one vs one, and some really good head up crosses and cut backs.

Exactly the type of attacking full back I would buy.

once you have a Brazilian DOF these things are no longer an issue. it's one of footballs immutable laws

We have possibly the youngest back line in the league with Tierney, Gabriel and White all being 23 years old and presumably all guaranteed starters. This kid is 19, can we really get away with a back line that young all season.

i mean, this is basically a lost season anyway, so you might as well put together the back line you want to see and give them 38 games to play together, make mistakes together, and hopefully develop together...

Based on the midfielders we've been linked to I think it seems like Arteta wants a more attacking midfielder to partner Partey rather than a more defensive one like Bissouma.

Problem is that then he's too afraid to let them go forward. Just get a Bissouma so it releases everyone else.
