Really though, city have possession against everyone, but I thought that was the most solid I have seen Leicester against them. Obviously no KDB, Jesus, Sterling etc

Let the season start and we can all judge properly, but Leicester seem like they have a very solid base indeed.

yeah, he (and his agents) definitely has some greedy vibes coming off. but if he lives up to his potential, we'd get Pogba money for him.

they're not selling kane so where the money going to come from?

Interesting to see the prices floated for vlahovic after 1 great season. it'd be akin to someone offering us 40-50m pounds for joe willock. I bet most would take that and run as fast as possible.

Trippier and Tierney. Would be the best set of fullbacks we've had since Sagna and Clichy pulled off a miracle 07/08 season. Could really do with a top free kick taker too.

Had a incredible second half of the season last year; he scored 16 goals (total was 21 overall) in 2021. Before that, he didn't necessarily stand out. he's got what you want in a forward: decent pace, technique, strength, heading, and like most lefties, doesn't really use his right foot. I have seen people compare him to Piatek (who was a one season wonder in Serie A and pumped more goals in than Vlahovic), but I think the latter has more to his game and definitely a lot more potential.

Fiorentina want 60m euros for him, so most people thought that was a "f off" price. I guess we and Spurs aren't deterred by this. I think its a bit exorbitant to spend more money on forwards when we didn't sell anyone there.

I think he's more like Mandzukic than Piatek, but I'd be hesitant to spend any kind of significant money on him too at this stage. He looks like a good talent but we have to stop throwing insane money on players who aren't a sure thing.

there have been a few too many highly rated young serie a strikers that didn't pan out entirely. I'd be hesitant to bet the farm on someone of vlahovics profile, talented though he appears.

Castro has really tailed off. Very average season last time around and super inconsistent. There's a reason why no big Italian clubs are after him

Based on very little, Vlahovic looks extremely interesting to me. He seems to have all you would want in your Number 9.
