Been watching a few clips of Sander Berge. Looks an alright player. I didn't note any standout traits apart from maybe his stature and decent close control relative to it. Keeps a good average pace but seems not to have a change of gears. He could be a decent pick up for 15 million but twice that really feels like poor value. Having said that I've stopped caring about value as its pain inducing. Also makes we wonder why we wouldn't just go for Bissouma. Yeah he's not the exact same player but with someone like Lokonga, Xhaka and Partey somewhere around him we'd sustain decent passing potential.

It's the move that has been staring us in the face all summer but our reputation has taken a hit over the last few years so I expect he'd take some convincing. On the bright side I don't think City would view it as selling to a rival so we might have a shot on that front.

Sabitzer is another one we should be pushing the boat out for but he looks Bayern bound.

I was chatting to a Sheffield season ticket holder that been going for 40 years he reckons berge is the second best player he's seen in that time. I can see why they wouldn't want to seek him he'll control every game in the championship. He reckoned ramsdale was excellent after a shaky first 3 months in the prem. Apparently ramsdale has 3 player of the season trophies already. He's probably worth 25 mill.

He always looks too ponderous in the way he plays and too one-footed for my taste. His left foot is worse than Wilshere's right. Surprisingly press-resistant though - maybe it's just his power, as Dules says.

For manly power, we should have signed Soumare.

Quite a few of us were screaming for him from last year, and he has been like a juggernaut against city.

Him and Ndidi in midfield, is scary stuff.
