Yep Agility and ability. He does nothing to create half a yard. He just blasts it straight into the defenders shins. It's just head down and blast it. He's really not at the level we should be aspiring to.

That could be, but I think its so much fun to watch him strike terror in the wide areas, sometimes enticing a wide forward or midfielder to come double in. Not sure how much flow he'd purchase from the centre. As a second striker would be interesting? Parts of his game remind me of Salah a little bit and its really impressive that he's not too far off the Egyptian's output during his two seasons at Roma.

not far off? salah had 29 goals in 65 league games for roma. chiesa is on 8 in 30.

Honestly speaking massive credit to Pirlo for improving Chiesa as a well rounded player.

He was a solo warrior at Fiorentina with tendency to often complicate things as he often tried to do the impossible.

Was looking across comps and as wide forwards thinking assists too. Last season was Chiesa’s most prolific with 26 G/A compared to Salah’s best season in Seria A with 34 G/A in almost the same amount of minutes, and 22 G/A in Salah’s prior season. Difference of 8 G/A is sizeable but I think one of my points is that he's looking in good shape and trending to perhaps strike similar levels of prolific.

Except AW never went for a player unless their club said they were for sale to begin with, which was why he would get shirty about clubs tapping up players.

Aye we wouldn't have the pull for him specifically. But he rightly loved that all rounded forward player like a DB10, Henry, RVP that can do everything. Rather than a belotti striker who just hits the ball well but is a shit head down player who can't make an inch for himself.

Gabi has huge potential, obviously has a lot to learn but he has a lot of strings to his bow.

What makes you say that? Wenger had the balls to go for Mbappe, Dembele, Lemar, even in his final years. Some other examples but we showed balls going for Arshavin right after he lit up the Euros.
